Every time Nick helps me translate his girlfriend, Sydney, looks at me like I'm flirting with him. And I'm really not, it's hard speaking a different language and having to learn. My mom can't pay for me to take English classes since this school charges for them. And Nick is willing to help and he's a good friend. It's easy having someone who knows what I'm saying and can translate. Other people just...give me a weird look and then tell me to speak English. Sometimes I forget how to say things. People bully me for it...saying I should know how to speak English. I even have some people tell me "your in America so you speak English! Not some jibber jabber shit no one can understand!" And to be honest...that really hurts...I don't know why people have to be so rude. It makes me want to...to punch them in the face and do as much damage as possible. Sometimes my wolf tries to take over. She knows what we went through when we were an omega in our old pack and now I'm the omega in this pack. It really sucks. Why can't I just be normal? I want to be treated with respect. Maybe I should run away...or...before I say this, well think this, did I mention that on the south side of town there is a van called the South Side Serpents (Riverdale reference) and they are all in the pack. They are in charge of guarding the pack and the boarders. They even take in younger people and omegas and protect them. That omega becomes a serpent. Maybe I could join...there's lots in my school...hm I'll talk to a friend about it. He and his friends are in the gang. (Btw, some of the names I use in my books are also ones I use in others) His name is Noah. He is 19. He's the leaders son. But his dad tries to keep the serpents out of trouble. He's a good guy. Maybe I'll just talk to him. I start heading home, looking down to ignore all the stares and shouts from kids passing me. Eventually I just put my earbuds in and blare my music. Sometimes the kids throw stuff at me. And they did today. Today they threw rocks at me. Hitting me in the exposed areas of my face, legs, arms, back and shoulders. Anywhere they could do damage to they threw. One girl even stopped and punched me. She punched me hard enough to spot my lip and cut my cheek with her ring. And to tell you, that pissed me off. That's when my wolf told over and started throwing punches. She didn't stop until someone pulled me off the girl. By the way, my wolf name is Lilith. When I looked her name up I learned that is Hebrew and can mean "ghost", "night monster" or even "storm goddess". Anyways, the guy who pulled me off held me while I, well Lilith, struggled to break free and land more punches on the girl. She didn't seem to want to stop. I knew this would happen. But what the guy said next is what made her stop. She recognized him. It was our teacher...Maxime. And what he said...it had her frozen, shaking. She dreaded the day this would come. He slowly leaned down to her ear and whispered...
