In Disguise

Chapter 2

Kendall's POV

"Let's put this disguise to the test." Angel told me as she pushed me out the door.

"Are you sure everything is in order?" I asked nervously.

"Yes now go Karen!"

"Karen?" I looked at her.

"Yeah. That's your girl name.its starts with a 'K'."

"What about Kendall?"

"Aww, but that's not fun."

"I'm sticking with Kendall."

"Okay, how about Kendall Corbin?"

"That sounds weird." I said while scratching the back of my neck.

"Kendall or Karen. You pick."

"What ever name comes out of my mouth when I speak." I said.

Angel shrugs. "Alright. You go girl!" She pushes me out of the door.

I stumble a little and start walking.

It's actually working. I hear some one whistle at me. Oh gosh. I turned to the guy who whistled

"Hey!" I clear my throat and put on my girl voice. "I am a lady!"

The guy laughs. "A sexy one." He winked.

I think I just puked. Is anybody else seeing this?

"Why don't you come over to my-" I peppered sprayed him in the eyes. "AHHH!" He yelled as he covered his eyes.

I ran away as fast as I could. And I bumped into a man.

ARE YOU SERIOUS?!

"Oh I'm very sorry. I'm in a hurry." He said.

"It's alright no need to apologize."I said in my girly voice.

He looks at me. "Did you just move here? Cause I haven't seen you around here."

"I've been living here for a while but I don't get out often."

"I bet you don't know as much if you don't get out."

Umm.. I just nod.

"I'm Jacob. By the way."

He put his hand out for me to shake. And I shook it.

"I'm Rebecca." That name just came out.

"Nice to meet you Rebecca. Hey, why don't you make another friend?"

"I-I'm confused."

"I can introduce you to one of my friends. You two will be really great friends. Come one." He pulled on my arm softly. As I stumbled a little walking toward a park.

"She's over there. Sitting on that grey blanket." He pointed to a girl.

Her back was facing us.

"Come, I'll introduce you two." We walk towards her and sat on the blanket. The girl was playing with a grown baby.

Is that? That is! Patricia and little Daren.

"Oh, hello there. Are you gonna join our picnic?" She asked.

Oh her angelic voice. Made me speechless.

She looked over to Jacob.

"Yeah... She is. I guess she's just shy? Her name's Rebecca." He said.

"Hi Rebecca. I'm Patricia."

Well I know that.

"You don't have to talk if you're not comfortable." She said while looking at me and playing with Daren.

"No no. I'm just shy sometimes." I said. As I thought of something. "You know, celebrities. I saw you on tv." She looked down. Oh man. I screwed this up.

She chuckled softly.

"I'm not a celebrity." She looked up.

"I'm sorry if I brought it up." I said.

"No no. That's fine. As long as you're not getting in my face with cameras and following me around the whole day. I'm fine."

That's my fault. I need to stop this madness.

"Patricia-" I got interrupted by Daren crying and reaching for me.

"Oh Daren. You want to go with Rebecca?" Daren squirmed in her arms and crawled to me.

I picked him up and hugged him.

"I'm sorry if he's both-"

I interrupted her. "No. No. It's no bother." I smiled at her and smiled at Daren.
