Recently, in the Prologue...

Stop thinking about useless things! Just run faster! Layla, Autumn's wolf screeched. Autumn could almost hear how uncontrollably fast Winter's heart was beating.

And that's when it hit her.

Literally.

Crumbling to the ground, Autumn let out a shriek of pain, her hands flying to her throbbing calf. Pain immediately engulfed her as darkness clouded her vision. She wasn't used to pain, for she was a regular wolf in the pack.

Border Control scurried to surround her, swiftly picking her up and carried her away from prying eyes.

Autumn's pain was numbed, though, as another dose of adrenaline set in.  Her screams quieted down, her mind going into shock.

"We've got an escapee. Brown hair, green eyes, small frame. Known as Autumn Stephenson," Border Control mentioned into their walkie talkie.

"Autumn Stephenson? Are you positive, Group 13?" A familiar voice emitted, clearly trying to mask his distress.
