chanyeol and i had been living apart for 6 months. i moved to los angeles to start my modelling career and it had been becoming so hard to be able to keep in contact him. it felt like we'd been slowly drifting apart and i absolutely hated it. i missed him so much.

"(y/n), we need you back!" my manager kristie yelled. i ran over to her and she lead me to my next set.

i was finally able to leave at 8 that evening, completely drained. my career had only just begun and i had been so busy for months on end.

ignoring the fact that i needed to shower and sleep, i finally called chanyeol.

"you finally done?" he asked when he picked up.
"yeah," i replied. "i'm exhausted, though."
"you should sleep."
"i want to talk to you, i miss you."
"i miss you, too. just talking isn't enough."
"i'll try and come back soon."
"don't worry about that, just settle down in your job and then we can figure out visits."
"i love you."
"i love you, too."

i checked the time and sighed seeing that it was almost 9pm.

"i have to be at work at 9 tomorrow so i should probably get some sleep now," i said.
"okay, baby, i'll talk to you later, okay?"
"okay. i love you."
"i love you more."

i hung up and dragged myself into the bathroom to take a quick shower.

when i got out, i changed into the pyjamas i'd brought in with me, brushed my teeth and dried my hair, then went back out into my bedroom, only to freeze in the doorway. there was a man lying on my bed, his back to me. i reached back into the bathroom to grab my straightener if i needed to protect myself but then the man turned over and my eyes landed on chanyeol's face.

"wha-" i wasn't sure how to finish.

"were you going to hit me with that?" he asked.

"i thought you were an intruder!" i said. he chuckled and climbed off the bed then walked over, taking the straightener out of my hands.

"now, calm down and let me kiss you," he said. he slid one arm around my waist and the other behind my head before leaning down and kissing me gently. i wrapped my arms around his neck and pressed my body as close to his as i could.

"god, i've missed you so much," he whispered.

"i've missed you, too," i said. he attached our lips again and pushed me into the wall, lifting me up so we were at the same height.

i pulled away after a few minutes and laid my head on his shoulder to catch my breath.

"can we talk before anything else happens?" i asked. he nodded and dropped me onto my bed before sitting beside me.

"why did you come so suddenly?" i asked.

"i was worried," he replied. "we haven't been talking much recently and i've noticed us growing distant and i wanted to fix that. i don't want us to grow apart, i love you too much."

i smiled gently and pulled his head back to me to kiss him again.

"i love you," i whispered. i kissed him again then took his hand in mind, lacing our fingers together.

"i promise we will make it work," i said.

"i will keep you to that promise," he replied. i grinned then pushed him down so i could cuddle up beside him.

"now, about you getting into my apartment." he shushed me and put a finger to my lips.

"don't ruin the romantic moment," he said. i chuckled and shook my head as i cuddled closer. i love him.
