triplets

once again i'm being selfish and writing an imagine that i want to even though i have probably 10 requests left 😂

IMPORTANT: please don't send me any more requests, please! requests are CLOSED! i have so many to work on, it would be great to not have any more! thank you for understanding.

when chanyeol and i found out we were having triplets, there was a flurry of emotions. we were, of course, happy that i was pregnant, nervous to be becoming parents, and just beyond scared of having not only one baby, but three. we had planned to have three kids eventually but we figured it would be over a period of a few years, not all at once. we had no idea how we were going to cope with the amount of business and tiredness we would be feeling.

but everything changed when we had the babies. they were fraternal triplets, one boy; jaehyun, and two girls; minyoung and sejeong. sejeong was immediately attached to chanyeol while jaehyun and minyoung relied more on me. we were just so happy to have them that we didn't care who preferred who.

that continued for the first few years of their life, until they turned 5. at 5, while they still loved and craved attention from me and chanyeol, they started to become more dependent on each other. they would not go anywhere without each other. if minyoung, the eldest by about 10 minutes, wanted to go somewhere, the other two would follow her without a second thought. chanyeol and i both found it very adorable, we were worried that they wouldn't get along, especially with jaehyun as he's the only boy, but they all love each other so much.

there was one day that that bond was a downfall.

we were at the mall, shopping for summer clothes for the triplets, when jaehyun walked off to the toy store across the mall. the girls of course followed him and before we knew it, all of our kids were missing. as we were looking through the clothes, we didn't notice they were gone until i went to show the girls some dresses.

"minyoung? sejeong? jaehyun?" i called. "where are you?"

i searched between the racks of clothes, they were known to hide from us from time to time, but couldn't find them.

"babe, have you seen the triplets?" i asked chanyeol.

"they were with you," he replied.

"yes, but they're not now. did they come to you?"

"no."

i threw the clothes i had in my hand on the shelf and ran around the whole store to make sure they weren't hiding anywhere.

"they're not anywhere, i've checked the whole store," i said.

"it's okay, baby, we'll find them," chanyeol said, kissing my forehead.

we decided we would split up, i went to the right and he went to the left. i checked through a couple of stores before noticing the toy store. knowing jaehyun, i knew he would go in there. i was certain that all of them would be in there. i walked in and found the three of them playing with the toys at the back of the store. i ran over to them and sejeong smiled when she saw me.

"mommy!" she said. "look at the cool toys we found!"

i pulled the toys out of their hands and dragged them out of the store before bending down in front of them.

"don't ever walk away from us again," i said. "your dad and i were so worried about where you'd gone, you can't just walk away without telling us. something bad could happen."

all three of them looked like they were about to cry so i wrapped my arms around them and pulled them into me.

"just don't do it again," i said.

"okay," they all mumbled. i texted chanyeol to tell them i'd found the triplets and he ran to us in less than a minute. after he lectured the triplets as well, we decided we would just take them home. those kids can definitely be a handful.
