Jk. This was hard, but a lot of fun. Loosely based off viking, nordic, and whatever else was on pinterest runes. So, essentially there are two ways to write it which is long hand aka "fancy version" and short hand aka "mildly confusing version."

Long hand is widely used by those not versed well in Alder'inian or if someone is getting paid by the character, or if they just want to be fancy.

Short hand is a nightmare because everyone does it differently. Pictured would be the most commonly used and recognized uses of short hand. If you really tried you could make entire words one character. Typically the max number of characters combined is three, but people have been known to combine more letters. Usually it's only vowels that are combined. You can see an example of short hand versus long hand in the lower right hand corner in red where I wrote out "Illeandir" in long hand and then in short hand where I combined "i" and "r" into one character and wrote only one "l" with that little dash through it and combined the "e" and the "a".

Yeah, short hand can be a nightmare to translate which is why people prefer it when scholars use long hand... but none of them want to because it takes so much longer especially if they have their own established shorthand.

Disclaimer! Alder'inian is largely a spoken language meaning that it was not meant to be written in. It is better suited to speaking than writing. That being said, it's a slowly dying language. Not many speak it. Only the Kareleri use it as the language of their people. Few others use it at all and no one else uses it regularly.
