i really loved how they cared for each other and they even trained together to improve their physical strength.
During a bonus scene, Nekomaru even gave Akane a back mesage which she enjoyed it.
She cried when Nekomaru died in DR2. Nekomaru even protected her when monokuma tries to attack her.
In DR3, I am so happy that we got to see Akane and Nekomaru training together.
