Chapter 15: Ghosts No More (Part 1)

The time machine appeared in a brand-new world- a better world. Then it touched the ground and fell over, and the group all fell out. A person who looked almost identical to Trunks when he was a little kid ran over. "Whoa! What happened?" the kid asked. Then, the kid looked at Gohan with a confused expression. "Who are you?" Gohan smiled as he walked over to this timeline's Trunks. "Heh. Looks like you're growing up just fine, Trunks." he said. "Er... I'm sorry, but I don't know who you are." little Trunks said. He noticed Vegeta and ran over. "Huh? Dad! Dad, you've gotta get up!" Bulma- this timeline's Bulma -ran out from a nearby house alongside what seemed to be the Pilaf Gang. "What's going on?" Bulma asked. She noticed Vegeta's condition and placed her hands on her face, stuttering with a horrified expression. "What happened?!" she exclaimed. She looked at Gohan. "Did you do this?!" Gohan held out his hand in front of him. "N-no, no, no, it was Black and Zamasu!" Bulma looked confused, but she brought everyone inside and pulled out a small sack. From inside the little bag she pulled out three Senzu Beans, and Gohan smiled. "Wow. Never thought I'd see those again." Bulma looked at Gohan. "So, just who are you, huh?" "Gohan." he replied. Bulma's eyes became saucers. "Gohan?!" she exclaimed, "What the heck happened to your arm?" She handed him a Senzu Bean. "Here. Eat this." Gohan shook his head and fed Trunks the bean instead. Trunks crunched it down, and Bulma fed the other two Senzu Beans to Goku and Vegeta. After Bulma scolded the group for forgetting to take along Senzu Beans before they headed to the future, some new arrivals came and were eating at a table outside. Everyone else went out to meet them, and Gohan decided to follow. 

Beerus, Universe 7's God Of Destruction, and his angel attendant Whis were dining on some dessert with the Supreme Kai of Universe 7 outside when the group headed out to see them. Beerus scanned the group, then looked at Gohan and raised an eyebrow. "And you are?" "Um, my name is Gohan." Gohan said. Whis looked surprised, but then he laughed. "Oh, I see. You are the Gohan from Trunks's time. I am Whis, the attendant of Lord Beerus, the God Of Destruction." Gohan quickly realized that Beerus was the one who had asked for his identity and bowed to both Beerus and Whis. "I-it's an honor!" He looked at Supreme Kai and smiled. "I'm glad to see you, Supreme Kai. In my timeline, you helped Trunks and me stop the wizard Babidi and his minion Dabura from releasing Majin Buu." After some more talking and a possible explanation as to who Goku Black really was from Whis, decisions were made- Whis, Beerus, Goku and Supreme Kai all headed off to Universe 10 to save the life of Gowasu (the current Supreme Kai of Universe 10). Why? Because Zamasu intended to murder Gowasu, his master and teacher, in order to get Gowasu's Time Ring- the same ring Gohan had noticed on Goku Black's finger. Meanwhile, Gohan decided to visit all of the rest of his old friends. First, he headed off to visit Piccolo. 

He found the Namekian training this timeline's Gohan out in a rocky field. Present Gohan noticed future Gohan flying up and momentarily stopped sparring with Piccolo. Future Gohan landed on the ground and walked up. Piccolo studied future Gohan. "Who are you? You look kind of like Goku, but you're missing an arm, your haircut's different and you've got a few facial scars." Future Gohan smiled. "I'm Gohan." Present Gohan looked confused. "No, I'm Gohan." Future Gohan shook his head. "Let me put it this way: I'm the Gohan from Trunks's timeline." Present Gohan and Piccolo both had wide eyes as future Gohan told them his story. Eventually Piccolo nodded. "I see. You've grown into a real warrior, er, future Gohan." Future Gohan nodded, beaming. "It's great to see you, Piccolo. You too, um... me." Present Gohan, future Gohan, and Piccolo all laughed at that, and present Gohan smiled. "Hey, if you ever have time, stop by my place. I'll introduce you to my family." Future Gohan nodded. "Sounds good. See you around." Then, he flew off to go see Krillin.
