Chapter 27: Power Of The Absolute God (Part 2)

Gohan kept speaking: "And if you want to wipe out all the people on this planet, first you'll have to go through us!" He rushed at Zamasu, ignoring Goku's shouts for him to wait and dodging more lightning attacks, and he fired multiple energy blasts at the Potara fusion. They all exploded, creating a smoke cloud. Gohan stopped as Goku and Vegeta flew up next to him. Vegeta glanced at Gohan and smirked. "Heh! Perhaps you've got a little more Saiyan in you than I gave you credit for." A small grin appeared on Gohan's face. "Heh. Wow, Vegeta. I didn't expect to hear that from you." "Do you think you got him?" Goku asked. Gohan squinted at the smoke. "I'm not sure..." The cloud parted. Zamasu was completely fine. Vegeta scowled. "Graaaagh! He's a cockroach!" "Lowly Saiyans. Still denying the inevitable? Perhaps a further demonstration of my power will help you see the truth." Zamasu said, and he began raising his arms again. Behind him, a purple mist began to grow in size and it eventually formed into a massive bird-like shape. "And now watch as I bring the light of the new age into this world. Behold absolute lightning." 

A purple lightning bolt shot down from the mist bird and struck Vegeta, sending him flying into the ground as he went back into his base form. "Vegeta!" Goku shouted. "Your time is up, Goku." Zamasu declared. Another lightning bolt rocketed towards Goku, but Gohan jumped in the way. "Gohan, no!" Goku shouted, but he was too late. Gohan took the full force of the blast and fell to the ground, reverting to his base form, just like Vegeta. Goku looked at Gohan's steaming body, then up at Zamasu. He gritted his teeth. "No more." he declared. Zamasu fired another bolt down, but Goku dodged it as he kept speaking: "Do you hear me?! YOU DON'T GET TO HURT MY FAMILY ANYMORE!!" He charged at Zamasu and reeled back his fist to throw a punch, but he was struck by another lightning blast and fell to the ground, going back into his base form. "Now to rend the land. And cleanse it of all that is impure." Zamasu declared, "So begins the jubilee, heralding the arrival of a divine new world." More lightning bolts, all of them purple and insanely strong, began shooting out and causing explosions and destruction on a massive scale. In his subconsciousness, Gohan felt the lightning split the crust of the Earth, sending up massive pillars of lava and fire. The lightning also caused hurricanes and storms around the whole world. "Such horror!" Supreme Kai exclaimed. "How can he do this?!" Gowasu wondered aloud. 

"This is the definition of justice. Power, wisdom, flame and light return the vengeance to consecrate anew this defiled planet. And now the unclean world, stained by the violent plague of mortal kind, is remade. Born of divinity by divinity, paradise sanctified. What a beautiful sight. The end of this wretched world." Zamasu said. Goku, Gohan and Vegeta all struggled to their feet. "N-not so fast! It's not over yet...!" Goku said. "Like Gohan said, first you'll have to go through us!" Vegeta declared. "You... haven't... won yet!" Gohan said as he got up, "We've come out on top against insanely powerful threats in either timeline, and we'll do it again! You'll see!" "You cretins refuse to accept your limits. Well, perhaps it will finally sink in once my power tears you to pieces." Zamasu said. "Oh, shut up!" Gohan said, "You should know by now that the protectors of Earth don't do limits!" He went Super Saiyan Rage. Vegeta gave him a weird look. "What do you mean, 'the protectors of Earth'? You mean Saiyans?" Gohan nodded. "Well, yeah, but I'm also half Earthling, so I felt like I shouldn't leave them out." "Whatever." Vegeta replied as he went Super Saiyan Blue. Goku went Super Saiyan Blue as well. "Come on, let's charge together at full power!" The three warriors blasted off.

As they rushed Zamasu, Gohan made a suggestion: "Dad, Vegeta! You two attack Zamasu directly while I take care of that giant bird thing!" "Right!" Goku replied. "Fine!" Vegeta said. As the two pure Saiyans charged, Gohan flew through the mist bird at top speed, increasing his energy to its peak. He eventually found the core of the bird and shattered it, causing the entire thing to dissolve. Meanwhile, Goku threw a punch from Zamasu's right while Vegeta threw one on the god's left. Zamasu blocked both attacks easily- he actually had his eyes closed. "The lack of reverence you three exhibit in trying to lay hands on a god- it is the worst kind of sin." he declared with a frown. He crushed either Saiyan's arm until they were both screaming in agony. "Gods are meant to look down on mortals. You insignificant beings are not worthy of touching our flesh so casually. And yet in spite of that fact, you have committed countless acts of humiliation against me. Transgressions... that are punishable by death!" He threw Goku and Vegeta away in the same direction, faced them and then shouted "Blades Of Judgement!" Goku and Vegeta both attempted to block the projectiles, but every time one of the attacks touched either of them it exploded. They were eventually overwhelmed and fell to the ground as more projectiles hit the ground around them. The explosion was so forceful that the gales generated from it put out all the fires within a few miles. When the smoke cleared, Goku and Vegeta were lying on the ground in their base forms (again). "Hahahahaha! Righteousness shall reign throughout the cosmos! On this day, at this very moment, a new chapter begins. And the one to author that chapter is Zamasu, holy magistrate of justice eternal!" Zamasu declared. 

"Dad! Vegeta!" Gohan yelled. Zamasu turned to face a furious Gohan. Gohan clenched his teeth and balled his fist as he shivered with outrage. "You monster... You'll pay for what you've done!" Gohan shrieked as he charged at Zamasu- and was thrown aside easily and then hit with about a zillion Blades Of Judgment projectiles. He fell to the ground in between his father and Vegeta, now in his base form. Zamasu frowned. "Hmph. To think you can touch a god proves that your heart is stained with sin, mortal." Just when it seemed like all hope was lost, Trunks arrived on the scene.
