Gohan clenched his teeth. "This is really, really bad." he muttered. "Great, what now?" Trunks said sarcastically. Zamasu raised his arms until they were pointing straight out from his sides as he closed his eyes like he was listening to his favorite music while giving a passionate speech. "I can feel it... Two glorious and unparalleled powers dissolving into one... within me." Suddenly a large white spiral of energy surrounded him and everyone raised their arms to guard against the winds generated. "So he's even stronger now? That's just what we need!" Vegeta remarked in a sarcastic tone. Behind Zamasu, there was now a white halo. Zamasu chuckled. "Heh heh heh heh... Behold this ultimate vessel, the sword and shield made one! Its strength knows no limits. The power coursing through me is exceptional. Glorious! Absolute! Stare in awe... I am justice incarnate!" Suddenly, from the upper corner of the halo, two purple energy blasts in the form of lightning bolts crashed down. Goku and Vegeta both managed to block them, but they looked more than a little shaken. "Whoa! You see that?" Goku exclaimed. "His energy is off the charts." Vegeta remarked, "Trunks! Gohan! Keep Bulma and Mai safe!" "Right!" Gohan replied. "Got it!" Trunks said. "We can use the garage for shelter!" Mai suggested. "Oh, yeah!" Bulma agreed. "Futile." Zamasu declared. He fired two more purple bolts down at Goku and Vegeta, who countered with energy waves. They were holding up against Zamasu's attacks... for now. "Father, do you need any help?" Trunks asked. "Quit dawdling and get going!" Vegeta said. "R-right!" Trunks replied. "I shrunk the garage into a capsule! We're good to go!" Bulma said. Trunks turned. "OK, now hang on tight, you two!" He grabbed Bulma and Mai and blasted off. Goku glanced back at Gohan. "Gohan, you need to leave, too!"
Gohan shook his head. "No way! I'm staying right where I am! I won't stand by, doing nothing, while you risk your life ever again!" Goku appeared to reluctantly accept this and looked over at Vegeta. "Nice, Vegeta! You do have your moments every now and then, don't you?" Vegeta glanced back at Goku. "Ha! I haven't sunk so low that I need validation from you!" Zamasu's eyes narrowed. "Insolent, miniscule Saiyans. Bear witness as I show you the power of my divine light!" At the center sides of Zamasu's halo, red energy projectiles flashed. Above the fusion's head, tons of the same projectiles suddenly appeared. "Blades Of Judgement!" The projectiles dived into the ground, surrounding Goku and Vegeta. They began glowing an even brighter shade of red as Goku and Vegeta lowered their guard and looked around in confusion, wondering why none of the attacks had hit them directly. Gohan's eyes widened when he saw the projectiles start to glow. They're going to explode!
He leaped in front of his father and Vegeta and used his trusty energy dome to shield them both and himself. Even so, the entire Earth seemed to be shaking from the explosions. When all the explosions finally ceased, Gohan lowered his energy dome and got to his feet. While he had managed to shield himself, Goku and Vegeta, the detonations of the projectiles was so forceful it had bounced the dome around like a ball. Supreme Kai and Gowasu landed a few feet behind the Saiyans. "Goku, Gohan, Vegeta, are you alright?" Supreme Kai asked. Goku winced a little. "We're a bit banged up, but we're OK... for now, at least." Gohan stared up at Zamasu. "So that's what he calls the power of divine light. I've never felt anything like it!" Vegeta gritted his teeth. "This is absurd! I know he's a god, but I've never felt power like that, deity or not!" The Saiyan Prince scowled as he eyed Zamasu. "Tch! That smug bastard's just sitting pretty up there, grinning while he toys with us!" "The impenetrable defenses of Zamasu combined with the incredible offense of Black..." Gowasu mused, "Black and Zamasu have not only combined their powers, but their combined strength has been multiplied to an incredible amount!" "That level of strength is incomprehensible, even on a divine scale!" Supreme Kai stated. The three Saiyans remained determined to fight back. "Even so, we gotta do something about that power of his or we might not be able to save the world this time! We'll just have to obtain an even higher level of power, no matter what it takes!" Goku said.
"But he possesses indestructibility and Saiyan strength! How can you surpass that?" Supreme Kai asked. "Who knows? But no matter what, I will make that bastard pay for all he's done!" Vegeta declared. "With you all the way, Vegeta." Goku agreed. Gohan clenched his fist tightly. "This world has already experienced far too much death. I'm not going to give up on my home, even if I get killed while protecting it!" Goku nodded. "We don't care about the odds! We won't stop until he's defeated." "Harken under me!" Zamasu said, "I am the bright and glowing Sun which illuminates this world. You'll soon know that my brilliance is justice! I, the god Zamasu, am the universal brilliance, the universal law, and yes, the universal power. All those whom my light shines upon shall be obliterated. At long last, on this most glorious day, Project Zero Mortals will culminate with the eradication of all remaining life on this planet! And then, the great utopia will rise from the ashes!" "What the hell's he talking about?" Goku wondered. Vegeta opened his mouth to speak, but Gohan stepped forward and locked eyes with Zamasu. "OK, Mr. God, we've listened to your droning on and on. Now it's your turn to listen to what I have to say! And I say that you've got no right to run around judging mortals! You have no right to play God! And even if I'm struck down while defending this place from you, I don't care! I'll just get back up, again and again! You called yourself the Sun, right? Well, hear me when I say that I won't stop trying to defeat you, ever! And mark my words..." Gohan's frown was a determined and confident one, "One day, whether it's tomorrow or in the far, far future, the real Sun will shine on us again!"
