Leon and Claire☝☝☝
Leon's POV
"Cover me Kennedy!" Stanley yelled and I followed after him, covering him as we went after Ada. Multiple arched men were with her and to be honest they didn't seem thrilled to see us.
A week had passed since we were informed about Ada's involvement but now we were finally in the right place at the right time. What was Ada after? I had no idea.
"She's heading for the last floor, Leon you need to get that briefcase from her!" Hunnigan yelled through the earpiece connected to my ear.
"Roger. Stanley we cannot allow her to leave with that case!" I yelled to my comrade who was a little ahead of me.
"Out of my way !" Stanley yelled as he ran through the occupants of the cocktail party we had now interrupted. People panicked, hiding under tables or crouching with their hands over their heads.
"She's heading for the parking lot!" I yelled to Stanley as Ada entered the elevator after blowing us a kiss.
"Shit! She beat us to it!" Stanley hissed as we halt before the closed elevator, Stanley banging the closed door. I looked to the stairs.
"We can still catch her!" I yelled as I dragged Stanley by the arm.
"And we'll catch her by taking the stairs?" Stanley asked in a sarcastic manner.
"She's going down, not up. If we are swift enough we can" I stated as I hopped onto the rail of the stairs, Stanley following me.
As soon as we were at the final floor of the railing we ran towards the parking lot only to have a car drive pass us, four others following.
"Shit!" I hissed as I knew Ada was in one of those cars and we had missed her by a thin line.
"Looks like your lady friend hates guys who chase" Stanley joked as I broke a car glass with my elbow, opening the door.
"Get in" I ordered, hot wiring the car the moment I got in. I adjusted my earpiece as I reversed swiftly, moving forward moments after.
"Hunnigan I need a visual" I stated and my phone vibrated, me throwing the device to Stanley.
"Whatever you do don't let her leave with that briefcase" Hunnigan warned and I stepped on the gas, zooming in on the last car that had left the parking lot.
"What is inside that briefcase Hunnigan?" I asked as I swung from the bullet's being fired at us. Stanley gritted his teeth.
"Okay assholes let's play" Stanley yelled as he positioned his machine gun, firing at and puncturing the vehicle before us.
"In short let's say whatever is inside that briefcase can lead us closer to the theorist" Hunnigan replied as I swung out of the vehicle that came to a sudden stop before us.
I glanced at Stanley, "How far behind Ada are we?" I asked.
"Her car is no longer moving, she's surrounded" he announced and soon that came into view. I stopped the car, Stanley and I getting out and hiding behind two vehicles with our guns raised.
"Why are they pointing guns at her?" Stanley asked and I thinned my lips. I wondered the very same thing, weren't these men working with Ada?
"I don't know but I intend to find out" I told him as I gestured a count down of three on my fingers before we rose and opened fire.
A few men dodged while the others weren't so lucky. I shot the suitcase from Ada's hand, hopping over a parked car to get to her.
She glanced at the suitcase before glaring at me. If I didn't know better I would say she wasn't trilled to see me either.
She kicked the hand gun from my hand, a scowl present on her face as she tried to take my head of with the other. I dodged her attempt, blocking her vicious aim.
"You have no idea what you are doing Leon!" She hissed as she flipped on one hand and retrieve the briefcase with the other.
"I'm well aware of what is going on here Ada, hand it over" I yelled, tackling Ada to the floor. She groaned, trying to slam the back of her head to my forehead.
The briefcase slid, Ada desperately trying to get it only for my body weight to prevent her from doing so.
"Your coming with us Ada" I told her firmly.
"I'm flattered but I'm actually busy this Friday night handsome" Ada snapped, trying to shrug free as she stared at briefcase in the distance.
Another guy grabbed the briefcase and hopped into on of the vehicle, driving off, shots following. I covered Ada, rolling out of the way of the bullets but received one in my shoulder regardless.
As soon as the guys had left I got from on top of Ada who sat up with a messy hair. I stood, offering Ada my hand which she took.
"Mind explaining?" Stanley asked as he ran next to me, looking between Ada and I who stared at each other.

"Not all the time I'm the bad guy Leon" Ada stated as she dressed the bullet wound I had on my shoulder. I made a pained face as soon as the saturated clothes made contact.
"I was following orders" I told her, Ada shaking her head at me.
"So was I" she replied, carefully taking the bullet from my shoulder. I grimace.
"What is going on here Ada?" I asked, gripping her wrist.
"You'll bleed to death if I don't fix this" she stated and my grip in her wrist loosened slowly.
"If you aren't the bad guy why did you steal the briefcase to begin with?" Stanley asked as he exhaled a large amount of smoke, pressing the cloth to my shoulder Ada looked away.
"Its not my place to tell you anything, I'm simply doing my job" Ada stated and I stood, pressing the cloth to my shoulder.
"Those guys were aiming to kill you Ada, whatever Wesker sent you to do almost cost you your life!" I yelled, Ada removing her cell phone to stare at it.
"I have to go..." Was all she gave us before taking her leave through the hotel balcony. Stanley ran towards the balcony, scratching his hair.
"Where the hell did she go?" He asked in confusion. I then looked to a paper on the small table next to which I previously sat.
