Shadows,
They are dark, and gray, and dreary.
Stay away from the shadows,
They will pull you in.
They are sometimes scary,
Cast upon your wall,
In the darkness of night.
They could be anything,
From monsters, to hats, to balloons.

Shadows,
Follow you around in the sun.
You can turn and turn and turn,
And they will still be there.
They can be tall or short,
Faded or bright,
Fat or thin.
But they will never leave you alone,
With the exception of Peter Pan.

Shadows,
Can not take you anywhere,
Except in Percy Jackson.
In Percy Jackson,
There is Shadow Travel.
You melt into the shadows,
To provide an escape.

Shadows,
From which monsters emerge.
From rats, to cockroaches,
To anything beneath your bed.
Never be surrounded by shadows,
That would be dangerous.

Shadows,
They can help you.
Hiding from enemy monsters.
Unless they have night vision,
You will be safe.

Shadows,
Do not lose yours.
If you do not have a Shadow,
Well, you are not human.
You could be in danger,
From monster hunters.
Go, find your Shadow,

You do not need to steal.
All you need to do is look,
Not borrow, not take, only look.
You will find your Shadow.
With your Shadow,
You will find peace.

They protect you.

The sun must go,

In fantasy,
Shadows could be alive,
They could move,
They could have a purpose.
Some people think we are real,
But,
What if we are fantasy, too?
Are shadows alive?
Do shadows have a purpose.
Yes,
They are.
They protect us.
That is the only purpose they need.

Shadows,
They are scary,
They never leave you alone,
Monster emerge,
They will protect you.
Do not be scared,
Do not get rid of them.
If you get rid of them,
You need to be scared.
As we are fantasy,
There are no knights,
In shining armor.
Only shadows,
In knightly armor.

With Shadows,
You will find peace.
Your only protector,
