Sometimes Jinyoung wondered why he agreed to this, or how he ended up getting stuck in this position.

It all started when had Jihoon dragged him onto another one of his dates with his boyfriend. It was pretty awkward watching him cuddle and kiss Woojin while all he could do was eat his salad quietly. It made him feel like the biggest third wheeler on the planet.

Somehow over dinner, they brought up the subject of him finding love of his own.

“You are twenty eight, but still single?” Jihoon had whined to Jinyoung after he promptly turned down his 12793th request to introduce someone to him. Jinyoung couldn’t help but roll his eyes.

He knew that it wouldn’t be a problem for Jihoon. He had been lucky enough to have found Woojin, who loved him just as much as he did. They had been childhood friends, and now at thirty, the two were already planning for their marriage.

Jinyoung didn’t envy them much. It wasn’t like he never tried before dating before. Any of the girls he went out with in the past usually ended up badly. He knew he wasn’t a romantic kind of person, and felt quite incapable of loving anyone.

Which was precisely why he refused to let Jihoon set him up on a blind dating. Because the last time he checked, Bae Jinyoung didn’t do blind dating.

But in the end, when he walked out of the restaurant, he was to return again the next week to meet with his blind date.

If there was one thing Jinyoung had learned from his failed dates, it was that first impressions were very important.

He had taken the time to pick out an outfit and styled his hair, as well as ensure that his breath didn’t smell bad. (You wouldn’t want to drive your date away the moment you open your mouth, would you?)

According to Jihoon, he had arranged for him to meet a friend of Woojin’s from high school. Initially, the Park duo had offered to make it a double date, but Jinyoung had declined, saying that he wanted to face this alone.

He flagged down a taxi and instructed the driver to take him to the restaurant, which was a few blocks away. During the ride, he couldn't help but wonder how his date would be like.

I swear, if Jihoon dared to set me up with a girl I will get the heck out of there without saying hi. He thought.

This was because Jinyoung had recently discovered that he might be gay. He entirely wasn't sure if he was, but he thought that it would be nice to date a guy for once. He crossed his fingers, toes, arms, legs that it will be a guy.

When he got to his destination a few minutes later than planned (making him to panic a little), he told the waitress on duty his name and she immediately took him to a table at a nice quiet spot of the place. When they got to the table, he noticed that his date had already arrived, and was sitting at the table quietly.

His date had purple dyed hair, and turned when Jinyoung approached. Much to his delight, it was a guy.

He was pretty like a girl, it was the first thing he thought, with bangs draped over chestnut brown eyes and thin lips.

This is a good sign. Okay now Jinyoung, don't mess up.

“Hi, I'm Bae Jinyoung,” He introduced as he slid into the opposite seat next to his date. “I assume that you are Park Woojin’s friend?”

“Yes, my name is Lee Daehwi.” The smaller male held out his hand and Jinyoung reached out to shake it. “So you must be Park Jihoon’s friend?”

“That I am.” Awkward silence fell after that. Jinyoung opened his mouth to say something, perhaps an attempt at something flattering, but Daehwi spoke up first.

“You know that I'm your blind date right?”

Jinyoung couldn't help but snot at the obvious. “I know.” But when Daehwi didn't laugh back, he stopped abruptly, resisting the urge to scratch his neck.

“Is there anything wrong?” He hoped he hadn't said or done anything wrong in the two minutes since he sat down.

“No… it's just that...”

Shit, I think he hates me. He wants to leave…

“So Jihoon hyung didn't tell you?”

“Tell me what?” He asked, feeling confused.

He then noticed that Daehwi had been staring straight at him, in a way that made him slightly uncomfortable. They were unmoving, and unblinking. Suddenly, he knew the answer before he could say it.

“That... I'm blind.”
