A part of me was missing, an empty void that I couldn't place. A part of me was gone.
I couldn't trust anyone, couldn't do anything, but, turn myself into this monster.
Emotionless, careless, ruthless.
I lay there, staring at the ceiling ― cuffed with thick chains that prevented me to get up.
I was Julian's bait and his distraction until Stark shows up, or Azaria. I sighed and pulled on the chains with a strength that I never knew I had, and yet the chains didn't budge.
I shook my head and waited, silently. When was he going to come back and unchain me?
"Julian? I give up, Okay? Come unchain me." I called out.
Silence wrapped around my body, sending a chill down my spine.
I waited an hour before Julian appeared, his eyes glowing as he watched me from the doorway.
"Oh, dear Samantha. Beg me." He purred with a smirk.
I raised a brow and closed my eyes as if I had to think it over.
"You're still a pervert." I mumbled.
He chuckled and lunged into the bed and crossed his legs like a child waiting for a treat.
"P-please, Julian. Unchain me, I beg of you." I muttered.
He chuckled and covered his face with his hands as he tried to muffle his laughter.
"What's so funny???" I asked.
"Y-you are just too adorable. Your face screamed torture but your voice was lustful. You're too gullible." He chuckled and unchained my legs first and he scanned my body as he reached for my hands.
He ran his hands along my legs and smiled as I squirmed.
"H-hey." I growled. He laughed and unchained one hand; he glanced at me for a moment before reaching over to my other hand.
I smiled and grabbed his shirt collar and pulled him toward me.
"Don't underestimate me, I won't put up with the same shit as before." I growled.
"I like it when you talk dirty to me," Julian purred. "It's my kink."
Julian winked and I let him go as he unchained my other hand. I shook my head and rubbed my ankles.
"So, what's the plan?" I asked.
He raised a brow and heaved a sigh. He averted his gaze and climbed to his feet.
I frowned and watched his mood completely change before my eyes.
"You won't like it." He mumbled.
I licked my lips and stood in front of him.
"Try me." I spoke dryly.
"Become my fake slave ― no worries. I won't actually be needing anything from you, that's why I have Anne. You're the bait; if Stark sees you with me, he will be expected to rescue you to keep the charade of his love and affection toward you." He explained.
I raised a brow and smiled.
"That's all?" I asked.
"Well," He cleared his throat and looked away. "Maybe if he were to see something frightening? Like a public feeding. Surely he will have our son with him when he cimes for you."
"But why are we trying to lure him, besides the fact he may have our son?" I asked.
"Azaria is a traitor. She has been in hiding for hundreds of years. And yet, no one can lure her out ― except Stark. Besides. Christian, our son, must be stopped."
"I won't let anyone hurt Christian." I growled. He nodded and sighed.
"I'll have something made by our best scientist; we'll have to stop his growth before he becomes too powerful ―"
"Daddy!" A little girl wearing a dress ran in the room and latched onto his leg.
"Ah, this is my daughter, Zoey. Zoey, this is my dear friend, Samantha." Julian smiled and ruffled her silk black hair.
"H-hello." She mumbled hiding behind Julian.
He ended up having a daughter instead of a son. Why didn't he kill her like he would have my child?
Why was he so brutal toward me?
"She's adorable." I smiled. He nodded and smiled back.
It wss odd, how much he changed. How different he truly was compared to before. Was this really Julian?
"Come, Zoey. Let's go downstairs and let Samantha get dressed." He grabbed her hand and led her away. As they walked out the door he glanced over his shoulder and flashed a innocent smile.
"What a strange man." I whispered and hesitantly opened the closet door. Dresses of all lengths and colours hung neatly on hangers.
I peeked through them and chose a beautiful black dress that was nearly skin tight. It ended above the knees and it enhanced my curves.
I heaved a sigh and shrugged. Time to change it up. I stuck with the tiny black dress and hesitantly left the room.
I headed down the stairs and noticed the little girl, Zoey looking through the window, smiling.
I peered at Julian who was reading something. His expression was unreadable.
"I'm curious," I mumbled, he raised his gaze and met mine. "Why, your daughter has grown faster than my own child, and why you allowed her to live... Where is her mother?"
"Some things are meant to stay a secret. I'm sure you understand." Julian smiled.
I frowned and shook my head as I slowly made my way down the steps. I was cautious; I had every reason to be ― this man was dangerous even if he pretends to be a changed man. He broke me, damaged me in ways that I couldn't forgive.
"Sure." I averted my gaze as I cleared my throat and took a seat across from him.
I had to play him, like he has played me. It's my time for revenge. Just have to wait for an opening.
I glanced at the girl and dropped my gaze to the floor. I missed my son ― was he okay? Doing well?
How big has he gotten?
I groaned and dropped my face in my hands as I shook the thoughts away.
I had one mission now, one thing that I could do.
Revenge. I will get it, even if I'm killed in the process.
I will kill Julian ― when the time comes.
