i want nothing more than to be something
when you tell me my love is not enough
what am i supposed to do?
how do i tell you i am trying my hardest
or that i really do wish you the best?
how do i make you believe me?
i'm just trying to get by
i don't mean to be dismissive
i love you too much to tell you how i feel
i'm sorry if my love is not enough
my inferiority to your majesty often weighs me down
do you know how wonderful you are?
you stare back at me but your reflection says nothing
all i see are tears and disappointment and smoke
perhaps
this is the last straw for you
perhaps
you have decided that you are tired of waiting
perhaps
i have realised that you have already
turned your back on me
