Chapter Seven: The Last Resort

I told my team and the alpha what had happened in the woods, minus the part of what he said. 

We came to find out that the red eyes guy was actually a vampire. I read up on everything that i needed to know about this creature. There are certain types of vampires but this one was the one they call Rouges, red eyes represent the turned and only feeding on humans. 

I guess i was lucky he didn't drain me dry.

Now the question of why he wanted the alpha's dead was still on the table. He doesn't know why a vampire would interfere in wolve's territories, which leads us to believe he is controlling the rogue pack, but the motive is still unclear.

"How should we go about this?" he leaned back in his chair waiting for anyone to come up with a plan

"I suggest we move the woman and kids to a safer place, gather up the best fighters and fight" Josh spoke up

"We don't have any clue how many rogues are in his army, or what kind of rogues they are. so, we will be fighting blind." said Chris

"I don't know then" yelled Josh in frustration

We have been sitting in this office for a couple hours strategizing, everyone getting agitated. All our plans have flaws in it, it's hard to work on a plan when you only have so little information to go on with.

"We could leave, take everyone and relocate" said Josh 

"No! This is our home. We will not move just because some deranged vampire is threatening us." the alpha spoke up

"We could fake their deaths...."I suggested. 

Everyone turned to look at me

"But the problem is they can smell death" i sat back deep in thoughts 

"Well, we supernatural beings don't actually smell death. Only the cause, for example your cancer..." i slap my hand to Ben's mouth a second to late

"Cancer?" Chris looks at Ben confused, i turned to look at Ben and he was staring at me with the look of realization that i haven't told anyone

"Shit..." he says behind my hand and i gave him a glare

"Ice?" Chris looks at me waiting for an answer

"We'll talk after this mission ok..." good thing about us is that no matter how our personal life gets we been trained to do missions first

"We will." he said sternly

I wanted to kill him, his big mouth just told everyone of my team and knowing them they will be worried about me which will affect how i will do this mission. I shot a glare back at Ben, cursing him in my head.

"So, what's the plan here?" Chris asked 

"We will have to fight, that's seems like the only option now." he folded his arms to his chest 

"Josh's first plan seems like the only plan that will work" i said 

"Only problem is...we have a hand full of fighters. Most are just new pups" said the alpha. 

I could see the concern in his eyes, these were his people, his family he didn't want to put them in harm's way. 

"I have an idea, but you wont like it." Everyone turned to look at me, Chris had this look of realization and nods his head

"No, ice" his body get tense

"Chris, i hate them as much as you do but we need all the fighters we could recruit." Josh caught on

"The fucking stooges group?!" he yelled also shaking his head

"The stooges group?" Ben asked 

"Its a long story..." i let out a sigh 

We had a mission about a year ago, we encounter a group of teenagers who calls themselves the Barbie squad. They were all skilled fighters but the only problem with them was....they are so...emotional. The three leads were...well stooges, you wouldn't think they be skilled in fighting just by looking at them. 

"We dont have a choice, either we fight with just a handful of wolves or we recruit Barbie squad" 

"Bar-" 

"Shut up!" my hand over Bens mouth shutting him up

"Ok, but keep them far far away from me!" said Josh sternly 

"I'll call them now" i started to walk out of the room calmly, as soon as i was out of the room i let out a huge breath

I have been experiencing some symptoms which i put off but now i can't, i can feel my body getting tired of fighting.

'One last battle, just one more.'  I told myself.
