Chapter three: Benjamin Bright

I sat next to her the whole time, I was feeling nothing but admiration that she finally trust me and not point a sword to me or ignore me, but instead she was telling me about her other life before this. Then she goes and said....

"You need to reject me"

 "What the fuck are you saying?" she looked me dead in the eye with no emotions at all and she repeated what she had said earlier

"You need to reject me" my wolf  and I wasn't to happy about what she is suggesting to us 

"Are you crazy! What makes you think I would do that to you?" she looked towards the forest then back at me 

"Your pack" she said 

I looked at her confused about what she was saying 

"My pack?" she nods 

"your pack is the reason why you will do this for me"

I looked to the forest and with my incredible eyesight, I saw my pack as they were doing what they always do I looked back at my mate confused.

"What does my pack have to do with this?" I asked her, i was feeling very angry, she looked at me with no emotion on her face 

"can't you see how happy they are?" 

I was feeling very confused 

"I need to do my job so your pack can have that kind of life their living now" when she said this my heart was racing with love and admiration, she was willing to sacrifice her happiness with me to save my.... no our pack 

"Spoken like a true Luna" I said with a smile 

She showed no emotion at all, she just stood there looking at me 

"You need to reject me" she repeated again I shook my head 

"no!" I said firmly 

"I cant do my job when im busy worrying about you" my heart almost melted at that 

"Trust me, I can ignore all my emotions but this damn mate thing is really hard to ignore especially when your always around" I could hear a hint of anger in her voice and it stung a bit 

"I can't reject you" she finally lost it and she punched me hard...I might add. I fell on my butt, I looked up at her and she was not happy at all 

"If you can't reject me then I will have to kill you" 

I stared at my mate the person that is my other half, my heart, my soul, in shock of what she was telling me, but to be honest it turned me on a little.

"your choice, reject me or one of us dies" my heart was sinking 

Everything that I had heard about having a mate seemed like a lie, cause here stood my mate in a fighting stance ready to fight me, my heart sank at the sight of my soul mate threatening to kill me if I don't reject her. A part of me had some hope that she was bluffing, but the look in her eyes said she was dead serious.

"How can you ask me to do something like this?" I asked feeling very confused and broken 

"The same way you dug your nails in me almost killing me" she said and the guilt flow through me, it was an accident but I know she wont believe me when I tell her that

I looked at her icy blue eyes as they glowed with so much anger 

"if I agree to do this, can you at least let me see your face one more time?" 

I wanted to see her face again, I wanted to imprint her face in my heart cause it would be the last time I will ever see her face again. She looked at me for a few seconds before she stood straight. I swore I saw a hint of sadness in her eyes, but I think it was just me hoping.
