Mal being confronted about your breakup
"So Mallory, how are things going with the national team?" The interviewer asked as Mal smiled slightly. "Things are going pretty well, we've been pretty busy lately with training, but other than that everything is good."
"I'm glad to hear that. Everyone has been tweeting us about this next question, but a little birdie came and told us that you and the Thorn's forward y/n are no longer an item. Is this true?"
Mal's smile faded as she sighed slightly, knowing that people would find out eventually. "We both need some time away from each other right now to focus on our upcoming games and tournaments. The NWSL finals, the Tournament of Nations, and next year, the World Cup. It's best for us to focus on playing our best game as individuals." she said, hoping they wouldn't ask any more about your breakup.
The interviewer nodded, "Well, thank you for your time, Mal. That will be all for today, folks. This is your sports highlight of the week, with guest soccer star Mallory Pugh."
