Alex getting upset over you being carded
The ball was sent up from Carli, stopping the pass with your foot before running forward with it. While you made your way to the top of the box, one of Germany's defenders ended up battling with you to get the ball. You put your weight on her as she aggressively pushed against you, trying to keep your body in between her and the ball.
The ref blew his whistle and ran over to you and the defender. "Finally." You mumbled under your breath, assuming that the foul was called against Germany.
Oh how you were wrong. The referee pulled out a yellow card from his pocket, and to your disbelief, he held it at you.
"Are you kidding me?" Alex said from beside you. "This is ridiculous. This is complete bull." You put a hand on her shoulder, trying to let her know it was fine, but she kept on walking.
"You want to play ugly? Fine. Then let's play ugly."
