Q. How do I enter the contest?

A.Tag your story #PoetryGauntlet2018 and enter your submission via the submission form.

Q. Can we write in any language?

A.Entries must be written in English as we have no other language capabilities. However, should you wish to write in a language other than English and submit an English translation, you are free to do so.

Q. I am from outside of the USA, can I still participate?

A.This contest is open to everyone, everywhere in the world. Even Antarctica.

Q. Is there an age restriction?

A. No. This contest is open to Wattpad users of all ages.

Q. Do I have to follow these prompts and forms? Or can I write my own poem?

A.The prompts and the poetic forms provided are a part of the challenge, so you must incorporate them. But, they are just a base for you to launch your poetry, you can interpret them in your own unique way.

Q. I have no idea what these forms are, and how I write them. Can you help?

Q. I have a poem written already, can I submit that?

A. No. Poems entered into this contest must be written for this contest alone.

Q. What is the maximum word count?

A. Many of the poetic forms are restricted by the number of stanzas or lines. But the overall word limit is 500.

Q. Can I write a poem in collaboration with my friends?

A. Absolutely! You may collaborate with as many people as you wish, as long as all names are submitted on the form. Please note that prizes will be distributed appropriately amongst collaborating winners should a co-written poem win the contest.

Q. Can I enter a Mature poem?

A. Of course. As long as your poem content abides by Wattpad's Content Guidelines, Mature poetry may be entered.
