Different

Growing up

The sound of footsteps echoed into his ears. He gazed at all the shops with his blue eyes in wonder before stopping in front of one. This was one of the very few shops that had someone that welcomed him. Here was where he could find all the necessary tools he needed, seeds and stuff like that, to help him with his growth. Something that he had to do, like a nagging on the back of his mind that's been telling him.

"Naruto-kun welcome, are you here for some more vegetable seeds again" a blonde haired man sat behind a counter that was covered with flowers. Beside him was a platinum blonde haired classmate of his. She had teal eyes what had no pupil that was like the hyuuga's. Naruto nodded in response to the mans question and he gestured for naruto to go ahead.

"Ugh look it's that damned brat, I can't believe that Inoichi-sama would allow him into here" one of the shoppers sneered to her friend, the other, kurenai, turned to look back and seen the back of a blonde haired boy that seemed about 5 years old. He was tall for his age and took her a few seconds to figure it out. The black haired woman turned to her ex-friend and glared at her. "You shouldn't be saying that to children, you aren't even supposed to know that so I'm taking you to hokage-sa-" she was cut off by a smooth voice.

"Don't bother" kurenai turned her red eyes towards the voice and seen the blonde had turned towards her. He had a light tan and whiskers on his cheeks. His blonde hair was messy naturally and had side bangs that framed his face. Kurenai narrowed her eyes at his appearance and couldn't help but see the fourth hokage in the boy. "If you send her then you would have to send the whole village to him" then he turned away and went towards the vegetation area. Kurenai could feel the smugness come from the girl beside her and she heard her walk off into the streets. She turned back towards her other companion that sat behind the counter and he in turn shrugged in response. They watched the boy pick out his vegetation for a few seconds before turning back towards there own things they have to do.

When Naruto returned to his living quarters he was met by ANBU. These are the protectors of the hokage and when they showed up for him, it meant that the hokage needed him for something. Naruto sighed and went into his house and put his bags on the floor. He then stepped back out and took the ANBU's out stretched hand, then they diminished out of sight and reappeared in the hokage office. The old man sat in his red and white robes behind his desk with towers of papers that loomed over him. Hiruzen had his eyes closed in thought with his hands folded in front of his face.

"Yes jiji" Naruto asked. The man responded with opening his eyes and gesturing for him to come towards him. Naruto followed and stood in front of the hokage's desk. Hiruzen opened his desk drawer and made some hand signs. "Kai" what used to be pens and crumbled up papers was replaced by a few scrolls. The scrolls were medium size and held a lot of information inside. There were three of them, all different colours. Red, blue, and green.

"These are the scrolls that you wanted right? Fuuinjutsu/sealing, Your parents' taijutsu styles, and the hirashin no jutsu/flying thunder god technique" Hiruzen questioned. Naruto beamed up at the hokage and jumped onto him with a hug. Then he grabbed the scrolls and took the ANBU's hand once more and disappearing back to his house. Naruto giggles in anticipation at seeing the scrolls and waited for the ANBU to disappear before opening them.

He was halted however when he couldn't open them. Going over the basic information of sealing that he had read before hand, he tried breaking it with his blood. This opened the red and blue scroll and he mentally cheered himself on. Then he looked at the green scroll and tried to think what could work. Perking up slightly he sent a wave of chakra into the bounded paper and watched as it slowly unraveled. Suddenly feeling very dizzy he closed his eyes trying to clear it. Feeling a slight pull of chakra he opened his eyes once more and was met with the sight of an opening. Below him was calm water and above was the night sky. The stars twinkled when they sensed his presence and Naruto gazed at all the constellations he could find.
