yup. thanks for reading, ily all. all of these are from today.
some acrostics:
Wasteland of defeat, marked with
Open wounds, and
Red blood dripping from
Lacerations, the claws of
DespairAnother broken goodbye
Dreaming of one more second
In the heart of what's gone
Enraged by bitter farewell
Underneath a pale sky(heh you can read this one as UEIDA too, since i wrote it backwards. ps: adieu means farewell.)
Looking for path
One I cannot find as I
Stare into the gaze of
Terror and desperationnow, it's time for a poem i wrote called "the travellers." i like it — tell me what you think!
"The Travellers"
Devoid of hope they travel
Letting their terrible story unravel
Searching for something like glory
Lay down the verdict
Lay down the gavelThey wander this bleak land
They ponder the harsh demands
Should they continue through the eye of the storm?
Should they continue?
Are they bred and born
Of strength and sinew? Can their hearts carry this task
In the freezing snow
That covers all in a cold white mask
And tells them "no"?They travel on in this frigid dawn
Nothing but ice and the wind's knife
Nothing for miles but winter's wicked smiles
And the small group, the desperate troop
Trudging on in this perilous place
Knowing the deathly cold will win their race
