I don't get some mentalities.

You seek medical attention. But disregard our advice and DAMA because you think you know better.

You demand medication for your self-resolving viral illness. Yet you feel fobbed off when we give you paracetamol or you feel validated in your distrust when you inevitably get side effects for a drug, which you didn't even need to take but insist on having (like sedation from chlorpheniramine for your runny nose).

You distrust western medicine because it's 'synthetic' and has side effects, even though a lot of western medicine is the purified form of the active ingredient in 'natural' remedies (like aspirin, digoxin, penicillin). Yet you take herbal medicine when you don't even know what ingredients are in it or the dosages. No, the herbal medicines you're taking probably don't have any side effects. But that's because the dose was inadequate for any actual effect in the first place, so you also don't get side effects.

I don't know what you want.
