[2] Thank the Lord

"Anne, what a pleasant surprise you're in this class too?" a voice asked it was Jerry's, words can't explain how happy Anne was

"Oh my gosh thank the lord," Anne shouted hugging Jerry, "Oh how I've missed you, you just have to sit with me you have too!"

"Ok, what's really going on?" Jerry asked Anne was never this nice to him or anyone

"You have to sit with me so Blythe doesn't " She whispered looking towards him Jerry smiled

"We still hate him?" Jerry asked glancing over at him

"Oh yes, we will always hate him," she explained Jerry chuckled

"Yeah sure," he smirked Anne punched him lightly on the shoulder

"Dude, is that Jerry with Anne?" Moody asked the boy, Gilbert nodded he was always jealous of how close Jerry was with Anne but he knew they were just friends

"Well, I guess you don't have a chance," Billy Andrews said sitting down next to me

"Who cares about that ugly orphan anyway?" he asked looking at Gilbert

"Do we need to have this conversation again Billy?" Gilbert asked Billy shook his head quickly the last time they had this conversation Billy couldn't feel his face for a week

"N-no Gil, it's fine," he said getting up from the seat Anne had walked into the classroom so now was his chance

"Hey, Anne why don't you come sit with me," Gilbert said he patted the seat next to him she looked at him then Jerry

"No thanks Blythe, I'd rather not anyways I promised Jerry," Anne answered turning around Gilbert felt like he had just gotten shot in the chest

"Hello Class please take your seats," Mr. Morrison said he pulled out his cellphone the class sat there waiting for him to speak. Mr. Morrison looked around the class

"Didn't anyone tell you it was a free period for most of your classes?" he chuckled at how stupid they looked

"No, but thank god someone did," Jerry said on that note everyone started talking

"Anne, you do realize Gilbert likes you and maybe you like him too," Jerry randomly said Anne shook her head

"I will never fancy Gilbert Blythe he is my rival remember, why do people keep saying he likes me," Anne shouted the last words everyone quieted down even Mr. Morrison looked up from his phone

"Well this is some tea I want to hear," Mr. Morrison said Gilbert's eyes were locked on Anne

"Well basically this boy likes Anne and she obviously likes him too but she keeps denying it so my endgame won't happen," Jerry explained pouting Anne started to get embarrassed

"May I use the restroom?" she asked getting up she looked lifelessly ahead

"Yes you may but I'd like to hear the rest of the story," the teacher answered everyone started laughing Anne ran out of the room

"May I go too?" Gilbert asked getting up he didn't care if Mr. Morrison said no all he cared about was Anne

"Yes, you may Mr. Blythe," he answered he wasn't even paying attention

Gilbert walked towards the girl's bathroom he was so concerned about Anne he heard a girl sniffing assuming it was Anne, but it wasn't instead Anne had decided to take a walk around the school, the girl crying was Ruby.

"Are you ok?" he asked knocking on the door Ruby stopped sniffling

"I'm fine, go away," ruby cried she sounded so much like Anne at the moment he didn't leave

"You're obviously not ok, what happened?" he asked still convinced it was Anne

"Nothing happened can't you just leave me alone Gilbert!" she yelled if Ruby wasn't upset she wouldn't have snapped at Gilbert but she was clearly not ok

"I'm not going to leave you alone until you answer me," he said Ruby just sat there crying

Anne had just made it around the corner when she saw Gilbert sitting against the girls' bathroom.

"I always knew you were a girl, Blythe" Anne joked walking over to him he looked at her

"Hello to you too Anne," Gilbert smiled at her his smile suddenly dropped

"If your out here then who's in there," He asked an eyebrow raised

"Awh you worry about me?" she asked laughing he nodded

"Of course if I didn't well who would?" he asked that joke was a little too far her smile dropped she walked away

"Anne! Anne wait I'm sorry that wasn't funny," he yelled he decided to catch up to her

"He likes her and always will I'm not good enough," Ruby whispered into the mirror she cleaned her eyes with water and walked out

"Anne please," Gilbert whispered she stopped and sat against the wall she was laughing surprisingly Gilbert sighed in relief

"Oh thank the lord I thought I hurt your feelings," he said Anne continued laughing she shook her head

"oh yeah because Gilbert Blythe can never do ANYTHING wrong right because he's a fricking god right because he's the golden boy of the school he's just perfect perfect perfect aren't I right?" she began yelling her eyes welling up Gilbert just listened to her he knew saying something would just make things worse

"I don't need you to worry about me Gilbert I have friends to do that, so please stop trying to be the hero by protecting the ugly orphan," she cried people began opening classrooms and watching someone was even recording it

"So please Gilbert just leave me the hell alone," she yelled walking away Gilbert had never felt so bad in his life

"Anne!" Diana called after her friend she had been in one of the classrooms watching the fight she ran after her friend

"Anne wait!" she called still running after her Anne made her way into the bathroom

"Are you ok?" Diana asked Anne shook her head and smiled

"What does it look like?" she asked Diana was concerned about her friend but she couldn't think of what to say

"Oh yeah don't I seem so fine and dandy, I mean my eyes are just sweating right?" she asked sarcastically Diana shook her head her eyes watered

"I'm sorry Anne please just talk to me," she whispered trying not to cry Anne shook her head crying

"Diana please just leave me alone," she whispered walking out the door Diana stood against the wall and sunk

She cried until the bell for 3rd period rung the period before lunch.

" Honey, come put your lips on mine and shut me up, "

Sorrry for such a cruddy chapter there's too much dialogue anywho I just got a puppy and he's teething so every time I tried to write this he started to bite me so the next couple of chapters might be short or really cruddy sorry again
