2.Fight to the Death and the Demigod Taxi

"Uh...who's here?" I asked. Man was that dumb, I knew who it was. It was the candy cops! They know about the candy I kept hidden in my bedroom! They'll never take me alive!

"Ugh, after all we been through, you still don't know?" Derek slapped my head. "And don't even say 'the candy cops', cause its not. It's the Kindly Ones." Derek spat. I must have worn an 'I'm confused' face, because he sighed and shook his head. "Remember what Mr.Brunner taught us last year? About the winged old ladies of the Underworld. The..." He cringed.

"You mean the Furies?" I answered, smirking. Derek's face turned freakishly pale.

"Don't say their name, or else they'll..." Derek stopped mid sentence, trembling with fear. He pointed at the ice cream truck behind me. Three very wrinkly old ladies stepped out and were smiling evilly. "Come." Derek squealed. The hag on the left stepped closer to me.

"We've been expecting you, Juliet Ling. We've been expecting you for a very long time," she hissed, her breath touching my cheek. It reeked of blood and flesh, as if she had eaten little children for breakfast.

"Hey! Watch where you breathe!" I shouted, taking a few steps back. The old lady gasped and slapped me.

"You do not say that to your elders!" she scolded, waving her purse. She brushed herself off. "Now, where were we? Oh yes, we have been expecting you. I am Alecto, my sisters are Megaera and Tisiphone. We've come to take you home! To the Underworld." Her voice got deep and scratchy. Kind of like a growl of a beast mixed with a blood curdling scream and a dash of a clown's laugh. Alecto or whoever she was, started to sound familiar.

"Mrs. Dodds?" I muttered. She smiled wickedly.

"Yes, sweetie."

"Somebody tell me what is going on! Mrs. Dodds starts showing up in an ice cream truck with two other old ladies, they poison our ice cream and now they want to take me to the Underworld? I may not know a lot of things, but i know your talking about killing me!" I started sweating in places I never knew I could sweat. "You'll never take me alive!" I shouted, running toward my bike. Mrs. Dodds, Alecto, or whoever sighed.

"That won't work," she screamed and started morphing into a wrinkly beast with terrible hair and wings like an old bat. Basically she looked better than normal. "You can't run, you can't hide! We're everywhere." As if on cue, her sisters turned into slightly worse looking she-devils.

Derek who was frozen with fear, suddenly defrosted and used his crutches to karate-chop Megaera. "Julie! Catch the ribbon!" he shouted, making no sense at all. I stood there, dumbfounded, when he suddenly tossed me this red ribbon. I caught it, noticing how shiny it was, and it suddenly turned into Σκιά θηρίο.

Mrs. Dodds snarled at me. "So you do have my whip, don't you, dear. If you give it back, I won't hurt you that bad." She reached to grab it, but I sliced her hand off. She stretched to her full height, a whopping 8 feet, and looked down at me, smiling. "So that's how it's gonna be, huh? So be it," she growled.

Mrs. Whoever-she-really-is slashed at my stomach, but somehow I was able to dodge most of it, letting her only scratch my abdomen. She pierced my arm, causing blood to flow out. I bit my tongue to hold back a scream. It really burned, as if her nails had poison in them. I lunged for her neck, but she ducked. She tried to claw at my throat, but I cut the other hand off. Two hands down, one she-beast left to go. I swung my sword at her feet and she jumped. This was my chance. I quickly somersaulted through the gap between her legs and stabbed her spine. Screaming, she disintegrated into the same gold dust from the time I kicked her butt at school. I guess it wasn't a dream.
