Welcome Home

I sat on my floor, doing nothing. With my heart heavy, as it always was, I didn't move. I accepted the bittersweet blanket of loneliness with open arms.

Strangely comforting, it was. A familiar routine.

Whilst seeing others go out, have fun, I sat, as always, doing nothing but stare ahead, my thoughts whirring.

Seeing people happy, it didn't spark any sadness in me. On the contrary, the safety of my routine eased me.

As I tore myself apart, I almost doubted it. Yet my mind was stone.

And when I always returned, it seemed to whisper,

"Hello, welcome home."

This was inspired by Khalid's and Billie Eilish's song lovely.

It's at the top, of you're reading this on a phone. If you're reading this on a computer, I'm pretty sure it's on the side.
