Meeting new people is
clicking plus signs; playing
with people's heads, moving them
in circles around a screen with
my index finger.The most beautiful places
are those with the greater
number of pixels— the more
the merrier. They say walking
is healthy; I do my walking
with my fingertips. Eyes glued
straight, I pay attention.Today, my loudest laughter is
the silent tapping of my fingers
on a keyboard, alternating
between glowing letters.
It is perpetually dark
and quiet in here;
nothing and no one makes
a sound.— A. P.
