Chapter 3: Learning

                                           Pearl's Pov
As I walked with Amethyst and Onyx I couldn't help but notice a pink diamond symbol on his chest I'm going to have to talk to Rose about that but he seems to like the temple so far which is good
Pearl: "Um Onyx I was wondering if you are staying here have you thought about becoming a crystal gem?"

Onyx: "A crystal gem? W... Would you mind explaining that to me Pearl?"

Pearl: "Oh right! I forgot you didn't know about us. Basically a crystal is a gem that has devoted their life to defending this planet and its people."

Onyx: "Oh w... Well if that's what a crystal gem is then I guess I'll join you and be one."

Pearl: Oh wonderful! We're glad to have you aboard right Amethyst?"

Amethyst: "Yeah my brother and me fighting side by side it'll be awesome!" Amethyst threw her fist into the air

Onyx: "F... Fighting? I've never fought before... Could someone teach me?" Pearls eyes became stars

Pearl: "I'd be happy to teach you! We can start tomorrow"

Amethyst: "Aw jeez P he's been here for five minutes and already you wanna make him a sword fighter"

Pearl: "Jealous that I'm going to be training him? If you want you can come with us and watch Amethyst"

Onyx: "It... It sounds like it'll be fun. I mean I'm still new to just about everything so I'm ok with trying new things" Amethyst eyes turned into stars

Amethyst: "Onyx wanna see something cool?"

Onyx: "Uh.. Sure why not." Amethyst smiles and drags Onyx into into her room

Amethyst: "Welcome to ma room!"
                                Onyx Pov
I look around and see mountains of well stuff

Onyx: "This is amazing Amethyst"

Amethyst: "Feel free to look around if you want and call me sis"
Onyx nods and looks around for a bit before spotting a pile of clothes

Onyx: "Umm... Sis what are these?"
Amethyst walks over and explains to Onyx

Amethyst: "These are called clothes humans wear them to either look cool or protect themselves from something. See anything ya like?"
Onyx looks around before spotting a black hoodie and picking it up

Onyx: "This seems pretty cool. Mind if I try it on?" Amethyst nods and Onyx smiles before putting it on

Onyx: "How do I look?" Amethyst gives Onyx a thumbs up

Amethyst: "It suits you how about you keep that. Consider it a gift from your sis"
Onyx: "Thank sis this is awesome I really like this thing"

Amethyst: "Its called a hoodie bro. Looks good on you"
Onyx blushes a bit and they continue talking for a while until they decide to head back out and see everyone else
                                  Rose's Pov
I see Onyx and Amethyst walk out of her room I also see Onyx wearing what humans call a hoodie

Rose: "Hello you two how's the tour going?"

Onyx: "Its going great pearls going to train me and Amethyst showed me her room and gave me this" points at his hoodie

Rose: "That's sweet of you Amethyst. And what's this about Pearl training you?"

Pearl: "Oh um... I asked Onyx if he wanted to join the crystal gems and he said yes but he needs training so I offered to train him to be a sword fighter"

Rose: "Oh well I suppose as long as Onyx is ok with it so am I"

Onyx: "Yep I wanna help you guys defend this place"

Garnet: "Well then welcome to the team Onyx"
Everyone but Onyx: Welcome to the Crystal gems Onyx!"
Everyone hugs him

Rose: "And welcome to your new family"

Onyx: "F.. Family? R.. Really?" Tears up and hugs them all back

I have a family now I'm so happy
