Steven Universe Onyx's tale

Chapter 5: First mission

                            No one pov          
     It has been two weeks since Onyx started training with Pearl and he has progressed at an astonishing rate

Onyx: "I got you this time Pearl!"

Onyx said as he clashed his blade with pearls and repeatedly tried to hit her but she continued to block his every attempt

Pearl: "Your good Onyx but you still have a long way to go if you want to beat me!"

Pearl said as she backed away before dashing at Onyx preparing to disarm him but he suprised her by dashing at her and at the last moment sliding under her and quickly standing behind her his blade against her neck

Onyx: "I think I did beat you Pearl"

Onyx said smirking but pearl quickly spun around and disarmed Onyx easily and knocked him to the ground

Pearl: "Never get cocky Onyx. It will be the end of you... But good fight you are defintily improving"

Pearl offered Onyx a hand up and he took it and stood up smiling brightly

Onyx: "D... Does that mean...?"

Onyx said looking excitedely at Pearl as she smiled at him and nodded

Pearl: "Yes Onyx I think your ready to go on a mission"

Garnet: "Good cause I've got one for you and Amethyst Onyx"

Garnet said as she walked over to the two gems

Onyx: "R.. Really? Oh Garnet thank you I.. I promise I won't let you down"

Onyx said smiling brightly as he hugged Garnet but he was soon tackled by a purple blur

Amethyst: "Hey bro I hope your ready for our mission today!"

Onyx: "You bet I am sis let's do it"

Amethyst gets off of Onyx and they head into the temple together

Amethyst: "Ready to warp bro?"

Onyx nods excitedly and they get on the warp pad and warp to an abandoned temple like area

Onyx: "Woah... This is cool sis. Say what is our mission anyways?"

Amethyst: "Oh it's real simple just have to stop a simple corrupted gem same as the other missions only this time you can fight with me now bro"

Onyx: "Yeah now I can be helpful to you guys"
       
                 A little while later

Onyx and Amethyst are walking around when all of a sudden a spear like object appears about to stab Onyx but Amethyst tackles him out of the way

Amethyst: "Bro watch out!"

A large spider like gem makes itself seen and roars at Amethyst and Onyx as they get up and Onyx unsheaths his katana and gets in a stance and Amethyst gets her whip out

Amethyst: "Ready bro?"

Onyx: "Ready sis let's do this!"

           Cue the kickass fight music... Soon not yet child soon it shall kick in

Onyx dashes at the giant Spider but it easily swats him away with one of its legs but amethyst soon wraps her whip around its leg

Amethyst: "Onyx attack it now!"

Onyx nods and dashes at the beast and preparing to strike it with his katana but the spider swings its leg with Amethyst whip on it towards Onyx launching Amethyst at him and sending both of them back
