It's been seventeen years since Onyx was adopted into the crystal gems and things have gone wonderfully.... Aside from a few things that had happend in that time
Onyx could be seen leaving Fish stew pizza after a long day of work
Onyx: "Have a wonderful day Kufi!"
Kufi: "Yes Onyx you have a wonderful day as well!"
Onyx smiled and soon walked away and enjoyed the sights while making his way back to the temple. But soon he looked out towards the beach and specifically looked at a small crater in the sand and he had a tear fall as he heard a voice of... A certain day that had happend
???: "I... It's been a hell of a ride hasn't it?"
The voice said as it faded away and Onyx snapped out of his thoughts now realizing he had been standing there for over an hour he quickly wiped a tear away and made his way back to the temple
Once he got close enough to the temple he soon noticed fighting going on in it so he quickly summoned his katana and dashed inside only to see the gems fighting.... Centipeeldes?
Pearl: "Onyx perfect timing!"
Amethyst: "Yeah bro these weird bugs won't stop trying to break in"
Onyx simply grinned and started attacking the centipeeldes one after another easily poofing them but soon noticing they..
Amethyst: "Hey these things don't have gems"
Pearl: "Then the mother must be near by"
Onyx nodded and continued fighting the centipeeldes along side Garnet Amethyst and Pearl but soon someone ran into the house
Steven: "Hey guys!"
Onyx: "Steven!? Stay back these things are dangerous"
Steven pouts and walks over to the fridge sighing loudly
Steven: "Awe man they ate everything in the fridge.. Oh wait cookie cats!?"
After they finished clearing out the centipeeldes they all walked over to steven
Pearl: "Yes we heard they stopped making them so-"
Amethyst: "We went out and stole a bunch!"
Pearl: "Amethyst!... Me and Onyx went back and paid for them"
Onyx: "Yeah we knew how much you love these things so we figured you'd like to have some"
Steven smiles brightly and opens up a cookie cat
Steven: "Thank you guys so much!"
Steven starts singing the cookie cat song and takes a bite of the cookie cat. As steven did so his gem began to glow
Onyx: "Steven... Your gem..."
Onyx said with a shocked expression as he watched Stevens gem glow more before soon fading away
Steven: "Awe man... I almost had it"
Onyx pats steven on the back
Onyx: "Don't worry Steven you'll get it one day just like all of us did"
Steven: "Yeah... Hey wait! Can one of you teach me!?"
Pearl got stars in her eyes and nodded quickly
Pearl: "Yes yes of course Steven!"
Cue the epic teaching montage that I am not writing cuz you know what happens so I'm skipping to when Onyx helps Steven
