14. FATE

62 22 14

Far away in the woods,
Between the mountain,
the lake, and blooms.
Two shared a perfect sibling hood,
Not from the same blood,
yet dreamt of parallel fortunes.

One was pretty and handsome with words,
One knew how to make things work.
Alone in their little world,
with flowers and birds,
Unending happiness and
away from the dark, they lurked.

A herd of populace entered their locale one day,
Both of them were frightened and ran into their gates.
One of them ordered,
"You go inside, and stay away",
"Never, we will fight together. We are made of the same fates."

They fought, they lost,
their fates got changed.
Took the pretty one away,
leaving her friend to starve.
In the new world,
she felt strange,
On the flowing water,
her friend's name she carved.

As the days passed,
She indulged herself in the new,
Shined into the limelight
and became the eye of the crowd.
Now she missed her friend for a second or few,
Cause she was blessed with another love, who made her proud.

She forgot her old and loved the new silvers,
Her all-new lads gave her the best contentment.
Every memory she had,
flowed back into a river,
She wasn't filled with any more tenderness and sentiments.

But the new ones pretended to have love and faith,
and with someone else,
they ignored her till torment.
Treated her like supernatural or a wraith and to her heart,
they gave an irreparable dent.

"Don't take me for granted"
She begged her silvers.

Hurdled into nowhere and cried an ocean full of tears.
All that she made with them
amended into hate and even grew,
being left alone,
now haunted her as a fear.

The girl was now starving alone,
she was dying and crying on her own.
These tears and cries to her were prone,
She got back her fate,
and what she owned.
