37. DUSK AND DAWN

18 4 2

It was dawn,

Light peeped in through the dimly lit rooms.

Dawn come with rays of hope,
But darkness works better when you're the one who eloped.

Far away on the battlefield,
Soldiers were dreading to witness another yesterday.
Wind in their eyes, their feet were swaying away.

Standing at the edge of the cliff,
He failed his promise of coming home tomorrow,
At dawn, he tried to drink away all his sorrows.

It was dusk,

The sunlight was evading,
The sun finally went back into hiding.

Birds chirped on their way back to the nest,
Artisans dropping their pens,
eager to give their bodies some rest.

Kids ran back to their homes from the park,
Girls avoided empty roads,
as soon as it got dark.

Wagers finally closing in,
Though low on money,
their peace resides within.

He was crying on the porch, begging his lord to cut him some slack,
While on an empty bench,
she was waiting for him to come back.

It was dawn,
I was preparing to go back.

It was dusk,
But I wanted to stay.

(A/N): Hello everyone. Long time no see. I ghosted everything for a whole freaking year, more than a year I guess.
But I'm finally back with another depressing poem heheheheh.

This one might seem all over the place but I've tried to describe how everyone is suffering/ is not, at the same time of the day, in different parts of the world.

Anyways,
I hope you'll are doing great.

I promise to write more from now on but I cannot guarantee to not procrastinate.

Please give it lots of love.

Vote and comment.

Love
