"Breakfast!" Jingyu's voice travelled easily through the house, bringing Cai and Zhou downstairs. Zhou rubbed his eyes, smiling at Jingyu, who passed him a plate and kissed his cheek.
"Thank you, baby." WeiZhou said, pecking his lips and sitting down.
Cai, now in grade two, smiled at his dad as he took the plate. "Thank you!" He smiled. Jingyu rubbed his hair, grinning widely. He took his own plate, sitting down next to WeiZhou.
"Sitting feels okay?" Jingyu asked, a teasing smirk playing on his lips. WeiZhou rolled his eyes jokingly, elbowing Jingyu in the ribs.
"Shut up." He smiled.
He drove Cai to school, returning back to the house to find WeiZhou napping on the couch. He had been working himself tirelessly the past few days, staying up until 3 and hardly waking up. Last night, Jingyu was lucky enough to seduce him away from his songwriting, but it normally wasn't like that.
Jingyu glances at the gold band on his finger that matched the one on WeiZhou's. He smiled, swallowing the lump in his throat. They had worked so hard for this, and in the end it was all worth it.
WeiZhou rolled over with a groan. "I can basically feel you staring at me, babe."
"So much to stare at." Jingyu grinned, rubbing WeiZhou's back. "Want company while you nap?"
"Mmm. Don't you have better things to do?"
"Nope." Jingyu crawled beside his husband on the small couch, cuddling into Zhou's neck. "Mmmm. I love you."
"I love you too, Jingyu."
