Life is inevitable. You are put into it with basically nothing. No choices, no regrets, no promises, no mistakes, a clean slate.

I like to believe there is a reason for everything.

There was a reason that in this life I found this certain group of people.

Because I loved them, and I have no idea what I would do without these people.

So here we are, lovesick teenagers conquering high school day by day like some cliche movie.

A new day is a new beginning, a new purpose, and I wonder what today's purpose will be.

Whatever this crazy life throws at me, Sadie will always be there to listen, Carter will always be there to throw some advice and intuition, Jax would always be there to slap on his smirk and make his sarcastic comments.

And I wouldn't have it any other way.

I always find myself reflecting on sappy shit while in the car. However, this isn't the time considering an extremely upbeat song is blaring through my speakers.

So I turned my thoughts off, and kicked on the fun drive.

With that, I tried to focus on driving, while smiling and singing along to the base-blasted song. We were on our way to school, junior year to be exact.

The left side of the backseat was occupied by Sadie Peterson. She has light blonde hair that was tucked into a messy bun. Somehow she pulled it off pretty well. Her blue eyes lit up as she too sang along to the song like there was no tomorrow, she had a pastel pink shirt on with white washed jean overalls on top. She always has the cutest clothes. Sadie was an amazing artist, and she had the voice of an angel. She was petite, and shorter, but nothing crazy.

Next in the right window seat was Carter Thomas. Between them were two starbucks drinks in the cup holder compartment. Sadie got a strawberry açaí refresher with coconut milk, and Carter had a soy milk latte.

He was wearing some sort of fishing shirt with black pants. Pretty basic, but at least he has better style then Jax. Anyhow, Carter was the captain of the schools soccer team.

Jax Anderson was sitting shotgun, next to me. It's my car, but we move around all the time. He wore a gray nike sweatshirt with some black basketball shorts. I can fall asleep staring at his outfit, it's that boring. Jax played on the schools football team which left him with a really nice body, but hey that's just weird.

I suppose I should introduce myself. I'm Kate Stevenson, nothing important. I was wearing an oversized hoodie that I found in my car because I was cold. I also was wearing black leggings, and under the hoodie was a shirt I got from the schools dance program. I guess I shouldn't be talking about fashion. My brown curls covered some of the words on my sweatshirt.

Between Jax and I were our drinks. He had some black coffee, ew. I had a vanilla bean frappe.

As the ride came to a close, I smiled at the amount of fun i had, just driving to school. The air around me seemed calm, happy and comforting. These were my bestfriends since second grade, this was our daily routine. Starbucks, and karaoke, I wouldn't have it any other way.

"Are you excited for today?" Jax chirped while opening the car door.

All this fun had taken my mind of the pep rally today.

My schools dance team is preforming, and not only do i have group dances but i preform my new solo for the first time.

It's always so nerve racking, and my hopeless anxiety didn't make the situation any better. Pins and needles seemed to form in my stomach, poking and prodding at all of my nerves. And I hated needles.

Noticing everyone was already out of the car I frantically removed the keys, grabbed my bag and drink, and exited the car.

"Relax, your going to do amazing." Sadie calmly said while putting her arm around my shoulders as a sign of comfort. Starbucks in hand, we all walked into the dreaded school.
