For a School University assignment, we had to write a manifesto of why we are artists, and how we can influence people through them.
My topic was on raising awareness of plights around the world, with the highlight of Refugees. My other topics included starvation, racism, child abuse, and child soldiers.
For the Refugees artwork, there is an island in the background covered in smoke, with men holding guns at the foot of it. This is showing people what we are sending refugees back to by not giving them safety.
