Thirteen

I was walking to class when I overheard a conversation.

"I-I like you Rick... Like more than a friend..." That was Sara's voice.

"I-I like you too... But.. I c-can't be with you... I just.. Don't deserve you..."

"I-I.. Who says you a-aren't?..."

"S-Sara please... I.. I have to get to class.." I saw him turn a corner leaving Sara alone. I quickly  went after him, I grabbed his arm and he turned around. "Did you?.."

"Yes... Do you want to talk about it..?" He nodded slightly and we walked to the music room. He sat by the music equipment.

"I actually wrote a song about it... Can I play it?.." I nodded sending a quick song to Sara to meet me here. She responded quickly with an 'Ok'. After 10 minutes Rick was set up and started.

Rick:

Once he finished he sighed and looked at me.

"I just wish I could tell her.. But I can't... I-I.. Have to go.." He got up and went out the back door of the studio and Sara walked in and up to me.

"So you called me here so I could hear what he has to say?" I nodded.

"And now, I help you write a song to him so that you can get him!" She smiled and we got to work.

We got ready for second official gig, the town carnival. We all stood on the stage and Cameron went up to the mic first.

Cameron:

To tell the truth would be a lie
I saw her out on Friday night, misunderstood
