They arrived at the party only slightly late, walking in to the huge house it was being hosted in.

Music with heavy bass bumped through the wall and floor, making it hard to hear. Zi Xuan blinked his eyes, adjusting to the darkness. There were a few party lights strung around, making the place lively and bright. Lots of people had a drink in their hands, sipping it and nodding their heads slightly to the dance music.

Cheng En spotted the couple at the door, coming over with a beer in his hand. He clapped Zi Xuan's shoulder, grinning widely at the pair.

"Good to see you came, bro!" He yelled, obviously at some level of intoxication, smiling unbelievably wide. "Do you want a drink?!"
Zi Xuan was about to shake his head no, but then Yu Hao piped in. "Sure." He smiled, turning to face a wide-eyed Zi Xuan.

"I don't drink." Zi Xuan leaned in, whispering.
Their heads switched places and Yu Hao whispered. "I do."

Zi Xuan gave him a almost suggestive smirk, and they began to follow Cheng En. They reached the kitchen, where it was quieter, but full of the sketchiest looking people ever. Yu Hao could feel Zi Xuan tense up, even though they weren't touching.

Yu Hao looked back, seeing how uncomfortable his boyfriend was. He turned around, deciding a beer wasn't worth the uncomfort of his lover. Taking Zi Xuan's hand, who didn't question him, they walked out the door.

They had almost made it before Yu Hao heard a all-too-familiar voice call his name. He froze, making Zi Xuan panic even more. Turning around, he came face to face with the person he never wanted to see again. She grinned at him.
"Hi, Cha Yan." He smiled weakly.

His ex girlfriend, the one he had gotten into so much trouble with. She had known a completely different side of him, the side that first fought with Zi Xuan when he was asked to join the volleyball team. The side that he had stopped being once he fell in love with Zi Xuan.
She eyed him up and down, her eyes stopping at where Zi Xuan's hand was holding his. She laughed meanly, making Zi Xuan puff his chest out slightly. He wasn't an aggressive guy, but he would gladly defend his Yu Hao at any cost, like the night outside of the club Yu Hao worked at.

Yu Hao felt Zi Xuan's hand squeeze his. Cha Yan raised one eyebrow. "I see you've downgraded since me." She laughed again.

Yu Hao scoffed, rolling his eyes. "Oh, please. His little sister would have been a better girlfriend to me then you." Zi Xuan giggles at that comment. "And when I said I never wanted to see you again? I meant it." With a mock polite bow, he turned back around, muttering a goodbye.

Zi Xuan, feeling much more comfortable now, took Yu Hao's other hand, pulling him onto the dance floor full of people. No one was really dancing, more like talking and swaying to the music, but that didn't bother the young couple.
With Zi Xuan's hands on his hips, he rested his on his boyfriend's shoulders. Maybe somehow someone saw them, because in a moment, the heavy music was switched off, and a warm, guitar based love song was switched on. It was in English, but Zi Xuan knew the lyrics must be meaningful. He looked up, meeting Yu Hao's beautiful brown eyes, studying them, trying to memorize every speck of gold in them.

"For you, I would travel to outer space
Take a bullet to the heart just to keep you safe.
For you, anything for you.
With you, all the years just fade away,
Like a dream in my arms, but I'm wide awake.
With you, whenever I'm with you."

Zi Xuan felt overcome with emotion, so in love with the guy in front of him. How could he have predicted this when they met? When Yu Hao shoved him and challenged him to a volleyball match. How could he know that a couple months later they would be dancing together, with two centimetres of space between them?

He had always been too invested in volleyball to care about relationships. It used to be boring, for him and everyone around him, but now it meant that Yu Hao could be his first. His first kiss, first love. And tonight, maybe, he would lose something very important.

With a sweet smile, Yu Hao leaned into his ear. "What are you thinking about?" He asked.
Zi Xuan looked down at Yu Hao's lips. "You." He said, blatantly, as if it was a dumb question. "What else could I be thinking of?"

Yu Hao blushed, leaning in and connecting his and Zi Xuan's lips. They kissed as the song ended, but suddenly heard a shrill shriek, causing them to pull away immediately as all eyes fell to them.

A/N:
Song used is "With You" by Tyler Shaw. When I heard it on the radio the other day I got all teary-eyed because it fits so much with this couple.
