Chapter 16: Interview

Ryu didn't like this. Only minutes before, he was ready to strike down his enemy, and finally settle the score with his old rival. Now, he was handcuffed and shacked, and being led down a crumbling corridor towarss his fate. He wondered for a moment how his plans had been discovered, who had been the traitor.

He was brought to an old computer room where six people sat: four harrowing soldiers, his rival, and a beautiful woman. She glared at him with suspicion, but he could only return with a defeated gaze.
"Ryu," Armin said, patting his shoulder. "How have you been, old friend?"

The general chuckled.
"I have been well. I believed you to be dead, but yet you still haunt me."

Armin unlocked his handcuffs, and the two rivals hugged each other. Mikayla's shock broke the moment of solace.

Mikayla blurted out, "Wait a minute. 'Friends'?? I thought you were trying to kill us!" She was fuming with confusion more than anger at this point.

Ryu smiled. "Not at all, miss. After all, I would not dare assult a warrior such as he. I have been searching for him ever since the incident at Hoover Dam."
