I'm sorry

I'm sorry I'm not the perfect little housewife

I'm sorry I can't be the person you want

I'm sorry I have to be me instead of her

Or her or her

(I see the way you stare)

I'm sorry I disappoint you,

I know I disappoint myself sometimes

I'm truly sorry you fell for me

it wasn't what you needed

I'm sorry that I can't fix things

(I never learned how)

Instead I learned how to cower away

I learned how to blow things out of proportion

I'm sorry I just don't know how to change

Yet I have faith that you'll eventually love me just the way I am

(Or else, I know that someone else will)
