"Stay here" the man said making him sit by a desk in a chair

"What'd you do?" a guy asked sitting opposite him by another desk just like him

"Firstly I died, then I got kidnapped, then got beaten, all by my father, it's quite the story if you ask me" Jacob said not paying attention to how crazy his story sounded

"Yeah cause that story's gonna get you outta here" the guy said

"Okay so ready to tell me about the knife?" the police officer asked him sitting down in the desk chair

"When was I ever not ready" Jacob said

"Can we stop with the attitude and get this going?"  Jacob gestured for him to carry on "So what's your name?"

"Ask anyone working here, they'll know who I am?" Jacob said

"Hey James, you know who this kid is?" the man called over to a guy who was now looking at Jacob

"Mhmm, no, should I?" James asked

"According to him you should" the guy said

"Listen...." Jacob looked at the badge the police officer had "Ben, I've been  gone for over a year so I'd really appreciate if you could find someone who knows me so I can get outta here and go see my family"

"Well if you'd tell me your name I might just let ya" Ben said, just as Jacob was about to speak up a woman's voice called his name

"Jacob", he looked over to the woman to she couldn't believe who she just saw "Oh my god" he said running over to him, Jacob stood up and met her halfway as she engulfed him in a hug

"It's good to see you" he said

"How is this....your....you got-" she stuttered pulling back to look at his face

"Murdered" Jacob finished her sentence

"Amy you know this kid?" Ben asked standing up

"He's the captain's oldest son" she said

"Oh Michael hasn't been a father to me in years" Jacob laughed dryly

"But I don't understand, you died" Amy said

"Cause of Michael" everyone stared at him shocked "I'm guessing by looks on your face you didn't know"

"No he was so broken when you died" Amy said

"Wait what happened after I got shot?" Jacob asked

"Your father...I mean Michael dove straight back into work, he said he wouldn't stop until he caught whoever killed you" Amy said

"That dick, he's the one who fucking killed me" Jacob yelled

"J, calm down" Amy said in a calm voice

"He shot me in front of my family, faked my death, and abused me, and you want me to calm down" he exclaimed

"Jacob we didn't know, honestly, I am so sorry" she said engulfing him in another hug "But honey, Michael hasn't been to work in two months, he just disappeared"

"I need to make sure my family's okay" he said pulling away from Amy and he began to walk off

"Kid, I can't let you do that" Ben said stepping in front of him "Look I'm sorry, if your that worried about your family then we can send a few police officers over to check it out, okay?"

"Okay" Jacob said

"Okay now why don't you come back and sit down so you can tell me all that happened"

They did just that, Jacob began from the start, how Michael started abusing him and his Mother, then Derek a few years later, how they tried to get away one night and Michael shot him as he was about to get in the car.

"After that it gets a little foggy" Jacob said

"It's okay just tell me what you do remember" Ben said

"Voices" Jacob said closing his eyes, as he did this he could see back to what was happening "There was something on me, it was wet and warm and there was a lot all over me, and this light, a bright light being shined into my face. I remember someone screaming, and a weight on my chest right here" Jacob said holding his hand right below his heart, an image of a man pulling something out of his chest came to him, it was small, and all destroyed "A bullet" Jacob said remembering "They were pulling the bullet out of me, then I passed out"

"Is that all?" Ben asked in a soothing voice, Jacob shook his head and took a few seconds before continuing

"I woke up, I don't know how long I was out for, I guess a few days guess a few days cause when I came to my mouth was dry and I was dehydrated I think, then he walked in and it was like he was carrying on with his punishment for my, it didn't matter to him if I was in pain, and just got shot, making us suffer was always his favourite time of the day" Jacob said keeping his eyes shut so the tears don't fall

"Ben" someone called out the officer

"Yeah?" Jacob listened in on the coversation

"No one was there, it was completely empty, no sign of anyone"

"I need to find them" Jacob said picking up his head to look at them "I am not giving up until I find my family"
