This is a story
That is often told,
Of a fake princess
Who is rather cold.

You may have heard wrong
But I'm here to set things right.
This tale's often butchered,
I'll rescue it from its plight.

The tale of a princess
And a single green pea.
Alas she's not a royal,
She's an assassin you see.

That is why,
Nobody remembers her name.
The royal family's in trouble,
She feels no shame.

She lives in the castle,
Remorseless is she,
While she executed her plan
And married he.

She sneaks through the night,
Silent through the halls,
With her belt full of weapons,
She stays in the shadows near the walls.

The royals are sleeping,
They haven't a clue.
To our dear assassin,
This isn't new.

Into her husbands bedroom,
She draws her dagger,
So quietly,
She killed the prince with swagger.

Same goes for the king and queen,
The royals are all dead.
You shouldn't marry strangers,
They may cut off your head.

Listen to my story,
Hear the moral now, cause' heck,
These royals were rather stupid, next time
They should run a criminal record check.

I hope you enjoyed this poem, I definitely enjoyed writing it! If you are enjoying this book show it some love, I truly appreciate it! Thanks for reading!
