After knocking down all my walls,
You decided I wasn't for you anymore.
You walked out and left the doors half-opened,
And every time I try to lock them,
Hope takes the key away from me.
How harsh of you to give me hope,
By leaving all the doors unclosed.
YOU ARE READING
A Hundred Roses
PoetryAnd suddenly, I couldn't tell anymore if it was me the one reading her words or her words were the ones that kept reading my soul
Half-open doors
After knocking down all my walls,
You decided I wasn't for you anymore.
You walked out and left the doors half-opened,
And every time I try to lock them,
Hope takes the key away from me.
How harsh of you to give me hope,
By leaving all the doors unclosed.
