As you know, not everything is as it seems. You probably get reminded of it a lot through other stories and some movies. Well, here's another one, but its about my story.
Well, most people when they look at my generic caucasion, blue-eyed face just see another human being. Not that I blame them or anything. I'd think I was normal if I were you. I would even wish I was, just to have a normal laid-back life like you. If only...

"James! Hello?"
A harsh tap on my shoulder pulled me from my daydreams.
"Huh?" I intelligently responded.
"I asked for the answer to question nine on your packet," my annoyed teacher, Mrs. Carter, stated. "If you ever want to succeed in life, start by staying awake."

I didn't see how the answer to question nine in the packet would benefit me in the future, but I fumbled through my papers anyway to find it. Meanwhile, Mrs. Carter tapped her foot on the dirty carpet, trying desperately to appear patient, but instead resembling a choking ostrich.
"Uhh... the answer is seven."
"Wrong. Again." She growled, a hint of old garlic on her breath.
"Sorry-" I started but was interrupted by a sudden announcement on the intercom.
"NOW'S YOUR CHANCE TO GET A 50.00 HOODIE WITH THE SCHOOL COLORS, LOGO, AND NAME!! COME TO THE FRONT OFFICE FOR YOUR CHANCE TO PURCHASE THESE BEAUTIES!!"
Everybody in the class covered their ears as the speakers blasted.

"What's going on? Who-"
"EVERY HOODIE IS MADE WITH SPECIAL MATERIAL, TO BOTH KEEP YOUR TEMPERATURE PERFECT, AND TO MAKE YOU LOOK STYLISH!"
"Stop it whoever is-"
"SO COME SWING BY THE OFFICE AND PURCHASE ONE OF OUR SPECIAL HOODIES FOR ONLY 50.00!!"
Mrs. Carter walked briskly out the door as the students kept covering their ears and heads.
"ALSO, DON'T FORGET THE UPCOMING UNDER THE SEA DANCE!! (<hehe back to the future reference>)
IT'S GOING TO BE TOTALLY OFF THE SHORES AWESOME!"

The speakers finally fell silent, and the stunned kids' heads slowly came out from under their arms. Mrs. Carter still hadn't returned from her hurried exit, so the students clustered around in groups, discussing what had transpired. The most frequent words heard were along the lines of, "What the..." "I'm leaving," and " That hurt my ears".
I looked out the door to the tiled hallway. No sign of Mrs. Carter. I ran my fingers through my dark brown hair as stood quietly. I wondered when the teacher would return.

Everyone gradually went silent as distant sounds echoed down the hall. Inquiring people looked towards the open door as the sounds got louder... and louder...... louder........
The sound was like a howling inhale, fracturing the air and seemingly time itself. Wind sucked down the hall in the direction of the soul-chilling scream. The air whistled through my hair, whipping my forehead. After I looked around the corner to peer down the hall, a dark, shadowy, beast-like form started to materialize down the wind-blown hall from me. The howl intensified. As it took a step forward, my breath seemed to catch in my throat and I struggled to breathe in the vacuum of a hall. In half a heartbeat I was slammed against the neighboring wall, the creature's claws around my shoulder. Lights flickered different shades as the thing snarled. Clouds swirled as the shadows compressed into a dark, reptilian face. Two green, soul-piercing, slit-pupiled eyes stared into mine. Despite the strong winds, I could feel its cold breath on my skin.
James...
A deep, growling, deep-throated voice vibrated through the air, immobilizing me.
James... You will come with me... Now.
"N-no," I stuttered, all other words jammed in my throat.
The dragon-like creature inhaled and screamed at me. My eyes watered from its icy breath, and the sound was blood- chilling. My ears felt like they were splitting. Suddenly, it grabbed me tighter in its claws.
COME WITHHHH ME! NOWW!

...son.

<Yay I finally wasn't lazy for once and actually posted something!>
