Mika and Yuu came forward, "hey, at least we're together." Yuu mentioned. Akane nodded, "but, how do we get out of here?"

Mika settled down, "don't you think it's weird?" Yuu replied, "what is?" "He knows what we are. He's a witch hunter, it's not weird that he knows Akane is a witch, but what about us? How does he know what we are?" Akane looked up, "that's right! It's impossible. Mika has blue eyes yet he still knew you were a vampire." Yuu scratched his head, "you guys don't think one of the member in Shinoa's squad is a traitor, do you?" Akane kept quiet, "it might not be Shinoa squad. What about that man who attacked you the last time. He could've heard our plan and told the witch hunter." Yuu said in defence. "That's possible too, we'll figure it out once we break out of here." Mika suggested.

Yuu took out his weapon and slash it. No reaction. Mika kicked the glass wall using vampire strength. Still no reaction. Yuu punched it, and hurt his fist. Mika sigh, "you can be an idiot sometimes." Yuu scolded, "shut up! You've got a better idea?" Mika took out his vampire sword, "try using your demon sword." He said.

Together they cut through it, and the wall cracked. They speed up the cutting and within seconds, the wall broke. They ran out and saw all the cubicals were empty. "Extermination already started." Akane said in fear. They rushed out of the building, and saw the witches, hands cuffed, being pulled along by the soldiers. Akane grabbed her staff and rushed out, but she was pulled back by both her friends. "Don't act rashly."

"Who's there?!" A man in uniform exclaimed. Mika smiled slightly, "I'm Ikki. They're Ikku and Shizuka." The man stood in silence for a while. "Ah... The young trainees. They've already left by the front exit." He responded. They nodded and thanked him. When he finally walked away, they heaved a sigh of relief.

"Let's go." They rushed to the exit and pushed open the door forcefully. "Hey there! Come here and give me a hand." A woman called to the trio. She was wearing white coat as well. Mika saw the blood she was taking from the witches. He clenched his heart to stop his thirst. Akane covered his eyes and said, "it's okay Mika. Don't think of it." Yuu rushed forward, "sorry my friend can't manage the sight of blood. I'll help you instead." The woman sighed. "He should learn to overcome it if he wants to be a researcher." Shoving the blood sample to Yuu, she instructed, "hand this to the lab director." Yuu nodded, "yes ma'am." He signalled to Akane, who nodded. Taking Mika by his hand, she pulled him along while he closed his eyes.
