Chapter 8 - Bonding

Patton POV

3 days until Virgil returns to his emo self, I woke up to birds chirping at the window and I smiled softly at Virgil, suckling his pacifier in time to his breathing, I gently brushed his hair out of his eyes and he slowly woke up

"good morning sunshine"

I said beaming down upon him, he gave me a sleepy smile and he yawned causing his paci to fall out of his mouth, I sat up and took Virgil into my arms and smiled, I kissed his head softly and cradled him

Virgil POV

waking up this morning was a delight which was strange because I hate mornings! I looked up at patton and i had never seen him so happy, does he like me being an infant? I felt something squishy and uncomfortable at the seat of my diaper, and because I couldn't talk there was only 1 thing I could do

Patton POV

Virgil began crying and I hushed him gently

"shhh what's wrong bubba? you need a change?"

I cooed as I stood up, I layed a towel onto the bed and layed Virgil down onto the towel, I removed the icky diaper and cleaned his bottom, applied baby powder and taped the fresh one on, and ta-da he stopped crying, Romans a bit of a germaphobe but this was a simple task, I picked Virgil up who was now smiling

"is someone's little one hungry?"

I asked as I tickled under his chin causing Virgil to burst out laughing, I got him dressed into a light purple onesie and overall shorts, he looked so adorable I snapped a photo of us, I showed Virgil it and he pointed to himself

"thats right baby it's you!"

I said happily and he babbled happily, I carried him downstairs and made up a warm bottle of milk, I sat on the couch and he slowly drank it, Roman had already left for his Spa trip and Logan said he was going to the library to correct the grammar in old history text books, those boys crack me up, I held Virgil close as he soon finished his milk and I burped him, Virgil smiled and clapped his hands and I chuckled

"yes well done"

I praised

"you know me and you can have a fun day together? have some father and son time yeah?"

Virgil smiled and seemed to under stand what I was saying and I squealed

"yay! this is perfect! what shall we do? pillow fort? colouring? playing with toys?"

I listed a bunch of stuff and Virgil pointed to the t.v

"you wanna watch tv?"

I asked and he shook his head pointing to the t.v. again

"movies? Disney movies?"

he giggled and nodded and I giggled as well

"I have the perfect idea"

I set Virgil onto a baby chair so we was safely secured and wouldn't move whilst I was getting everything we needed, I grabbed every pillow and blanket in the house and made the best pillow fort there was, there where snacks drinks, the tv right in front of us, movies, fairy lights, a changing station, bottles, toys, anything we needed, I picked up Virgil and went inside with him

Virgil POV

holy shit this place was huge, everything was so calm and therapeutic, Patton put in alot of effort into this and I felt so happy, i gripped onto his shirt because I was a little anxious on how big the fort was but it was pretty cool, he sat down on a pillow and had me in his lap, I pointed to the cookies and he chuckled

"those are daddy's"

he said and I frowned and whimpered

"these are yours"

he showed a plate of smaller bite sized cookies which seemed better because of my size, I laughed and clapped and made grabby hands for one and he happily fed me, this was perfect

Patton POV

I felt so relaxed and cuddled Virgil happily, through out the whole day we watched Disney movies, shared laughs, and ate all the food in the house, I had ordered pizza for me and chicken nuggets for Virgil and when the food arrived I got up to get it, carrying Virgil with me, I payed for the food and went back inside the fort, I gave Virgil his plate of nuggets and fries and he ate happily and I are my pepperoni pizza excitedly, I got sauce on my mouth and even my nose and Virgil burst out laughing

"what?"

I said whilst laughing and he pointed to my nose, I whiped off the sauce

"o-oooh"

I said whilst laughing, he both calmed down and ate our dinner, after i finished mine Virgil barley ate his but that was understandable, he had been eating junk food all day, he burped and exhaled from being bloated, I chuckled and lifted him up onto my chest, I held him closely and he gave a soft yawn and I smiled, I rubbed his back gently and put a paci in his mouth to help him fall asleep

"I love you Virgil.."

I said and kissed his head, just then I hear

"a..I.. I wove ew too dada"

my eyes widened and my hands shook a little, I looked at Virgil who looked at me back

"y-you talked to me..."

I said at a whisper, my eyes slowly filling with tears of joy, Virgil squealed because these where his first words, I just sat there and sobbed happily

"I love you I love you I love you"

I said over and over kissing all over his face, laughing joyfully as did he, I whiped my eyes and beamed at him

"you mean the world to me Virgil"

virgil giggled "I wove ew"

patton laughed softly

"I love you more"
