What happened to virgil?

Chapter 9 - Heart break

Logan POV

I enter the house to see what appears to be a giant pillow fort

"hello?"

i say and patton giggles, he steps out of the fort holding virgil, beaming excitedly

"oh hi logan how was the library?"

patton asked curiously

"satisfactory"

i say

"whats gotten you so happy?"

i ask with causion, then all of a sudden i hear a weak ickle voice

"dada"

my heart stopped and my eyes widened and i looked at virgil

"did he-"

Before i could finish i saw virgil saying it to me

"dada"

patton teared up happily and said at a whisper

"his first word.."

i give patton a soft look of awe and cleared my throat

"why isnt that adorable?"

i cooed at virgil, just then a purple glow beamed from virgil

"uh patton?"

patton gasped

"whats happening?"

"i-i dont know! babys don't glow! can they glow?"

patton asked in distress, soon Virgil began growing

"the spell..."

logan whispered, patton put virgil on the floor and he grew back to his normal state, patton was shocked, he thought he had 2 more days with his baby, logan smiled

"oh thank god!"

virgil stood there embarrased

"uh...hi?"

Virgil POV

holy shit im back to normal! i dont care how and why i just am and thats enough for me, i was about to say something to patton then i realised i was only in a babys sized 7 diaper and i could not believe it fitted me in this form, i blushed dark red and bolted to my room so thankful roman wasnt here to see it

Patton POV

although i was glad to have virgil back i was super upset and of course never showed it, i smiled through the pain

"well well isn't that great? we have ole virgil back"

i giggled and logan agreed

"quite, now excuse me patton i have to go burn that spell book"

logan left which just left patton on his own, he looked at the fort and it broke it heart, i slowly entered it and sat where i once was with virgil on my lap, i teared up and i picked up the pacifier Virgil had, i held it close to my chest and sobbed these quiet heart broken sobs, tears fell onto my pants and i stayed there frozen

Virgil POV

i got dressed into boxers, which was a huge relief, and purple pajamas, i went outside and heard sobbing coming from the fort and i knew who it was, i gulped softly and frowned, hearing these hurtful sobs made me weak, i peaked inside to see who it was and frowned more

"patton..."

i say softly but it startles him and he sits up, whiping his eyes and trying to hide the pacifier

"hi kiddo its so good to have you b-"

i cut patton off

"dont lie to me"

patton looked down and whimpered, i sighed and sat beside him

"tell me what's wrong padre"

i smiled softly and patton just sniffled as tears fell

"i...."

he couldnt finish

"you want me to be an infant forever dont you?"

he nodded and i rubbed his back

"im sorry...but if it helps you did a fantastic job taking care of me...i felt really safe and you always knew what to do, im so lucky and thankful to have an amazing father figure like you"

i gave patton a hug but it didnt seem to work, he looked at me with tears in his eyes

"im sorry"

he whispered, he got up and ran too his room, shutting and locking the door, he left the pacifier and i picked it up, i felt bad

"god sake virgil why couldn't you stayed an infant? i wasnt going to stay that way forever, yeah well you just broke pattons heart"

i said talking to myself, i put the pacifier in my pajama pocket and began taking down the pillow fort, loud sobs came from pattons room which caused logan to come downstairs and ask virgil

"whys patton upset?"

"he...misses being a dad"

i explain

"well...you where never going to stay that way forever so...he'll have to get over this"

logan said firmly as he went upstairs, i took the pacifier out of my pocket and looked at it

"or does he?.."
