The girl in the attic

Chapter 10

Preston's POV

My aunt and uncle wasn't too thrilled about the idea of two more teenagers in their house but agreed to it seeing that they were already on their way. I felt the excitement building up in me as the hours passed. I searched the barn and the attic again just to make sure that Katie was really gone. I felt so bad for her but didn't know what to do so I focused all my attention on having some fun when Devin and Sarah got here.

At around six pm they finally arrived. I was upstairs in my room when I heard a car honking and made my way downstairs to see Devin's black jeep standing in the driveway. I walked outside preparing to be greeted with a warm kiss from Sarah but instead went into shock when I saw what was obviously supposed to be my surprise. Sarah stood their arms locked with Becky as they giggled at something.

My body froze for a second but luckily I recovered quickly and made my way towards them. Sarah and Becky have always gotten along but they've never been best friends so this was quite a surprise. What was Devin up to anyway? Bringing Becky with them was cool but I wasn't sure how to handle the situation now that I knew she liked me.

"Hi gorgeous!" I said walking up behind Sarah and wrapping my arms around her from behind. She spun around in my arms breaking her link with Becky and pressed her lips tightly against mine. I kissed her back reluctantly as Becky watched us. I broke the kiss as soon as I could and took a step back thinking about how crazy this situation is.

"I've missed you!" Sarah squealed throwing her arms around me and hugging me. I hugged her back figuring it was better than kissing her at the moment.

"So what do you think?" Devin asked walking towards us with an evil grin on his face. I glared at him but couldn't say anything since the girls were there with us. I shook my head but couldn't help but feel happy to see my best friend again, he is a complete ass but I love him.

"Good to see you man" I said giving him a man hug and then letting my eyes linger on Becky for a second. She was wearing a very short denim mini skirt, a tight black top showing every curve of her body and black boots. She looked as hot as ever and if there was nobody watching me I probably would have drooled.

"Hello Preston" She said in her seductive voice and then she winked at me. This is going to be really interesting.

"Hi Becky" I replied trying not to let any emotion into my voice. I doubted that Sarah would even realize if I flirted with Becky but I didn't want to take a chance until I was sure what I was going to do.

I helped Devin carry their suitcases upstairs and into a spare bedroom that was just down the hallway from mine. Luckily Lina had cleaned it when she heard that I was expecting some guests.

"Devin can crash with me, you two can have this room" I said figuring I couldn't ask Becky to share a room with Devin and none of the other room was cleaned.

"Ok" Sarah agreed but I could see she was hoping to be bunking with me. Oh well that's her problem, I've got more important things to worry about right now, like Becky.

We ordered pizza and then we all sat in my room talking until the girls decided that they were tired and wanted to go to bed. After they left Devin fell down in my desk chair as he rolled with laughter.

"You should have seen your face!" He laughed.

"Yea well, it's not every day the girl of your dreams shows up on your door step" I replied laughing with him.

"How did you manage it anyway?" I asked wondering how he pulled it off.

"I didn't have to do a thing. After Becky confessed her love for you to me, she hooked up with Sarah and they somehow decided that they wanted to be best friends forever" Devin answered sarcastically.

"Yeah right, I've got a feeling that after this trip they won't ever speak to each other again never mind be best friends" I said falling down on my bed.

Devin and I spoke for a while until we were so tired that we couldn't keep our eyes open. Devin crashed on a mattress on the floor while I slept in my bed. I fell asleep quickly only to be awaken by a hand pressing firmly over my mouth so that I couldn't scream. My eyes popped open as I felt the pressure on my mouth and I was about to push whoever it was as hard as I could when I saw Becky's eyes staring down at me. I felt my body fill with relieve that was soon replaced with panic and excitement.

She lifted her hand from my mouth and gestured for me to follow her. I did as I was instructed and followed her out of my room while checking her out. She usually doesn't wear a lot of clothes preferring to show off her body but tonight she had on some pajama pants and a big fluffy jersey. Even in this strange outfit she still managed to look hot. I followed her down the hall until she came to a sudden stop.

"What's up there?" She whispered pointing to where the entrance to the attic is.

"The attic" I replied as a sexy grin spread across her face.

"Let's go up" She said excitedly. I wanted to object but did as she asked, I didn't want to disappoint her. I pulled down the ladder and let her climb up first making sure that she didn't fall. I followed after her and watched as she looked around the all too familiar room.

She lost interest quickly and walked over to where I was standing.

"I suppose Devin has told you" She said placing her hand on my chest. I felt my heart jump and had to remind myself to breathe.

"Yea" I replied unable to say anything else at the moment.

"Well, do you like me too?" She asked moving her hand slowly down my body.

"Of course I like you" I replied hoping I don't sound like a complete idiot.

'Good, that's all I needed to know" She said slipping both her hands around my body and pulling me closer to her.

She leaned forward and pressed her lips against mine. The kiss was incredible but I couldn't help but feel that something was missing. I kissed her back feeling confused. I've fantasized about being with her since I can remember and now that I finally had her it didn't feel like I expected it would. I pulled my lips away from hers to catch my breath and clear my thoughts when a movement at the window caught my attention.
