Monday

Oh hell.

That was the only thing going through Peter's head.

He couldn't believe his luck, honestly. Of all the places, it had to be his house that they would stay the night.

Another thing he couldn't was the one decathlon meeting he had missed, was the day they decided where to go as their prize. Ned couldn't stop it.

Flash, of course, taking any opportunity to embarrass Peter, immediately suggested going to Avengers Tower. He figured that if they went there, he would be able to prove how fake his internship is.

He had no idea how real it was.

You see, one day after school, Peter was at the lab, and saw that Mr. Stark had an equation on the board. He could see the way to complete it, and decided to try and help out.

Weeks earlier

"Whatcha' doin Pete?"

"Oh! Nothing really, sorr-"

"Why are you messing with the equation?"

"I know Mr. Stark, I'm really sorry, I won't do it again-"

"Kid, this is amazing! They don't teach this in high school!"

Peter blushed beet red at the underlying compliment.

"Sorry Mr. Stark, I won't do it again."

"Kid, what else have you been working on?"

Peter pointed at a blueprint for a robotics club assignment, wondering where he was going with this.

"Shit, kid, I knew you were smart but this... you are probably smarter then half of the people in the tower! How are you not in college, kid?" Mr. Stark said excitedly.

Peter knew that the school work was easy, but he didn't know that he was that far ahead.

"I guess school isn't too hard but-"

"You should come work in my lab, some of my perspective. You could be a real intern, kid!"

Wednesday

After that day, Peter started to work with Mr. Stark more and more. Once Mat started working more, he started at the tower on weekends, and started to spend time with the other Avengers. May was killed by a poisoned drink, and he was immediately adopted by Tony. Soon, he talked to them as if they are great friends, not someone who could kill him in half a second.

He enjoyed hanging out with the Avengers, and everyone had their own things to do with him

He spend time training with Nat (not miss Romanov anymore.) Pulling pranks on people with Clint, baking with Bucky and helping Bruce out down in his lab.

They became his family, and everyone had a soft side for for the teenage spider. Bucky got better faster, and Nat talked more. They all acted like his parents and siblings, and he loved them all the same.

So, when he heard about the trip, he knew that it was a ploy from Tony to embarrass him.
