Chapter XV

I entered the building gripping my backpack tightly. The rumors in the building spread much like they did in the entire world, but here, they had a better idea of who it could be. And obviously, people mostly agreed it was Soori, but some were already noticing a close connection between me and him

I passed by the security scanning my ID. I walked down the hallway and pressed the button for the elevator. My phone started ringing so I picked it up pressing answer

"Yobuseyo?" I asked

"Hey babe, listen, are you at work?" I heard Jackson ask and some ruffling behind the line as if he was searching through some bags

"Yeah I just arrived.. why, what's up?"

"Can you come to the 6th floor? We're in the 4th room to the left" he answered back as I got inside and pressed the button

"Sure.. but why? Is there something wrong?" I asked now getting concerned

My heart started pounding as my brain started storming around landing on various different bad reasons as to why I was called to the 6th floor. The recording floor. In there there were many rooms for meetings that Park Jinyoung used to talk to his groups

"Just come here, please" he answered back

"I'm going.. see you in a bit" I replied before turning it off and putting the phone in my pocket

I impatiently waited for the elevator to hit the floor and open its doors. I didn't know what to expect so the anticipation was killing me. I got even more confused when I saw JB and Jinyoung at the door looking into the room

I got closer to them but they got inside first. When I got there, I saw Park Jinyoung and GOT7 talking with eachother

"안녕하세요.." I greeted bowing receiving the same gesture back

"Finally, you're here" said JB "Can we now know what is going on?"

We all looked at Jackson who was fidgeting his fingers and biting his lip, something he used to do when he was nervous. He even started picking at the skin of it when he was in stress, pulling it away and bleeding from it

"Please, seat down" he told them as they all moved to sit next to Park Jinyoung who was already sitting on a chair next to Mark

I walked up to the chair next to my boyfriend's "What's going on?" I asked looking at JYP

"Jackson is the one who called everyone" he said waving his hand towards the nervous boy next to me who was now glancing at his CEO

"What's going on?"

He took a deep breath and put his hands on the table "I called you all to discuss what we're going to do about the rumors spreading regarding me and Haeju's relationship, I came up with a decision I'm passionate about, but I want to know what you all think and if you have any other ideas"

"What did you come up with?" Jinyoung asked leaning forwards

Jackson paused for a moment before dropping the huge bomb "I want to go public"

My heart started pounding really hard as soon as I heard the words leaving his mouth, changing the entire atmosphere of the room.

"What?"

Was all I could answer back and apparently, the only one who could answer back since no one was batting an eye at it.

Jackson didn't take away his eyes from the CEO in front of him so I turned my face towards him seeing that he was actually thinking about it

"Go on" was all he answered

"Everyone knows the dating band is up. I'm almost 30 and that's the age netizens agree you should start dating. I'm not young anymore, I want to start my life. I managed work and a relationship until now, and the only thing that has been breaking us apart, is that we can't be comfortable all the time.. we always have to keep the secret." He spoke calmly "I'm serious about this. I'm serious about this girl and she knows that. I want everyone else to know it too" he ended

I looked back at Park Jinyoung and then looked at the other members who were still silenced looking at us

"You do know that, this won't be easy for Got7 and its future.. much less for you. And once the press knows about you two, I will be obligated to fire Haeju and she will have to find a new company, which will be too difficult since her name will be all over Naver" he answered back

I looked down and took a deep breath.. he is right.. I would never be able to get a job after this

"What if he comes out as dating, but doesn't tell the world who she is?" asked Mark

"That would be pure chaos. Sasaeng fans would go crazy only to find out who Haeju was" JB answered back

"Isn't there any way Jackson and Haeju can be together, without having to hide it?" asked Bambam

The room went silent again. I started to give it some thought. Really thinking about the pros and cons of everything

I looked at Jackson and gulped.

"Would you consider me for a job at Team Wang?"

Jackson's head snapped towards me as soon as I said it "Would you mind me making my internship there and then working as a choreographer there? On a professional level, don't think of me as your girlfriend. Do you think I'm good enough to work at your label?"

Jackson bit his lips and paused for a moment. I could tell he was considering it and that a battle was going off in his head "From what I've seen, you do get stuck a lot, but you're creative with your choreographies, but I don't know if your style fits the image we want to portray" he answered carefully

"Haeju is a great choreographer, but I do agree that she still has a lot to learn." Park Jinyoung added "However, if I'm going to be fair, I never had an intern do a debuted group choreo in the first year and it being approved for the comeback. The choreo passed all the tests and it was agreed between us all that it fit like a glove to the song" he continued "So, Jackson, I would consider. She has talent and passion about it. And it's a great way to solve part of the problem we have at hand" he explained

He looked back at me and I gave him a smug look that made some of the guys laugh which ended in him chuckling nervously and looking down

"It's not this simple.. I'd have to speak with my team and really think about it. Haeju, I love you but this would have to be fair and not just a getaway free pass" he said

The way he said it bothered me.. it seemed like he didn't like the work I do or that he didn't appreciate it. It felt like it all looked like I was just having luck and trying to grasp some kind of opportunity which really wasn't the case. And I knew it was probably all just in my head, but the feeling lingered as they kept talking

"... also, what about the place? She would have to move to Hong Kong and that isn't.."

"Jackson, that's something you two both should be discussing in private" Park Jinyoung interjected making Jackson finally look back at me

He was worried, I could tell. I knew him better than anyone else now so I could definitely read his face like an ABC book.

He was worried and scared at the same time. I had a feeling he was not enjoying mixing his work and job with a relationship and to be honest, I was too.. I was scared this would bring us down once more

I couldn't afford to lose him again. I can't..

"Yes.. we.. we have a lot to talk about" he seriously mumbled while not taking his eyes off of me
