Chapter XVI

I closed the door behind me before watching him disappear down into the kitchen. He opened his fridge and took out a huge water bottle from where he would fill up a cup later

I took of my shoes and walked to the kitchen to sit at a stool leaning my elbows on the counter "So.."

He gulped and closed his eyes hitting the counter with the empty glass "Not now Haeju"

I sucked in my lips watching him turn around and put the cup in the sink

"When then?"

He turned back around letting out a deep breath "Not today.. it's late and we had a long day"

I nodded my head and sucked my lips in while leaning away "Ok.. cool.. We won't talk about it for now.."

"I'm going to take a bath" he announced

"Can I join?"

He stopped moving to look at me. He was just passing by me so he was close to where I was sitting. At first it felt like he was gonna decline my offer but soon, a warm smile invaded his lips while he reached out to touch the back of my head

"Of course.. but I really do want to stay in silence you know?.. maybe with music in the background.. but I want to think.."

I nodded "I won't say a word!" I chuckled trying to contain a laugh. He leaned down and pecked my lips before ordering for me to get the candles while he prepared the tub

I nodded and put my hair up in a bun before opening the counters to search for the pack of 8 white candles and the matches

When I got to the bathroom the tub was already half full and with some bubbles but he was in the bedroom probably looking for clean clothes to change to. He came back and went to get the towels while I went to the bedroom to serach for something to wear. Music started coming from the bathroom and soon, I heard the water move telling me that he had gone inside the tub

I pondered not disturbing but to be honest, I felt extra needy today so I gave in to my temptation and opened the door slowly to see him already submerged in bubbles and foam

He had his eyes closed and his arms were on the outside of the tub gripping onto it as a song came from his phone. I didn't recognize it, all I knew was that it was in chinese

He opened his eyes when I was fully naked and ready to get into the tub. He bit his lips and moved a little giving me room to sit down facing away from him. I then turned a little on my side and wrapped an arm around his body leaning my face onto his chest. His arm fell from the tub to my back making me flinch at how cold it was in comparison to the warm water

"Ah.. you're so pretty" he mumbled in korean making me smile and close my eyes

I was determined to let him speak all he wanted and just stay quiet like he asked me to. I wanted to have time to think aswell and create my own logic and solution to what had been discussed today.. it all still felt unreal

A few minutes passed by and the song changed.. he started to quietly sing along with it. His chest trembled against my ear as he hummed the simple melody. His hands started caressing my back softly, going up and down. The contrast between the cold air of the bathroom and the warm water hitting the skin he was massaging

He then brought a finger to my nose and touched it making me open my eyes, only to see foam on it

I started giggling and so did he while I tried to clean it out.

And then suddenly..
